Jasmine on jasmine
A really fresh and floral fragrance! I didn't even have this brand on my radar yet, so I bagged it as a blink purchase. If the others in the range are half as good, they're worth a sniff too!
The top note starts directly with wonderfully floral jasmine, with a slightly woody undertone. Unfortunately, the top note quickly gives way to the heart. It remains jasminey until the dry down, then blends with pleasantly unsweet vanilla. It remains discreetly woody, which certainly gives it character. Musk is not too much and not too little. Just right to be perceived as a clean fragrance, as with the previous speaker. Leather, thank goodness, is fairly restrained.
All in all, a very well-rounded, successful jasmine fragrance that I would recommend for spring, summer and fall. Or in winter as a comforting reminder of brighter days.
A small bouquet of musky flowers garnished with vanilla tonka bean and a dash of grounding wood!
