My first niche fragrance
The "Layton | Parfums de Marly" is my first niche fragrance and now that I have tried my way through a few niche fragrances, I have to confirm the common opinion that it is the perfect entry into the niche world.
Layton has a very nice fragrance gradient and smells very high quality throughout. The opening is the apple pie that has already been mentioned here very often, and it becomes a little more vanilla-like in the drydown.
The fragrance can easily be worn at any time of year, but in my opinion it tends to be more suitable for the cold season. Whether on a date, at work or in everyday life, Layton can be worn virtually anytime and it shouldn't offend anyone in a negative way.
The fragrance is simply so "likeable" that it is very difficult to find someone from the masses who doesn't like it. But to deny it its niche character for that reason is also wrong in my opinion.
Layton may be the mainstream fragrance of the niche world, but it is still a masterpiece - why else would it draw so many souls under the spell of niche fragrances if it were nothing special?
