Chocolate Pralines
Starts sweet, fruity, with fig, milky coconut, and lipstick iris. This remains throughout the entire development, with even more sweetness added.
The only spice that saves the fragrance from complete oversweetness and a milky porridge smell is cedar. It brings in a hint of pencil.
Here we have a perfume that completely does without bergamot, jasmine, rose, and orange blossom. That's quite rare.
Thus, a scent for absolute sweet tooths.
I also find a bit of elegance in it and a touch of coziness. Heliotrope is somehow always cozy.
In the base, there’s a small
Bois Doré and
Luna Rossa Black memory + sugar + cocoa.
The two have teamed up and are nibbling on pralines.
I see this whole thing in autumn and winter; for the rest, I believe it’s too sweet.

Lilac Bush
This specimen is, as the name suggests, really even stronger and more intrusive than the original Alien. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, provided it is used thoughtfully.
Here, I definitely smell Alien; it is unmistakable. What comes into my nose now is lilac and cucumber. Yes, you read that right!
I can pick out extra ingredients in the Extraintense. The indicated tuberose makes the scent even sweeter than it already was and almost overwhelmingly floral. It’s as if
A Drop d'Issey Eau de Parfum was mixed with Alien and tuberose.
An Alien is drinking a cucumber smoothie under the lilac bush from a tuberose chalice.
After that, it is narcotized.
Not a bad smell, but very floral-sweet, and it could become a bit overwhelming.
So please do not overdo the Extraintense dosing.

Bubble Bath
Have I finally decided to write a text about it? Not really, I wanted to make a statement, but that would have been too long.
I have been testing Shalimar for a long time. I also once had the Mexique. Sometimes the edt., sometimes the edp. Never really wore it, always just tested it, and then gave it away.
I wore the Mexique once while shopping, felt quite comfortable with it, the sillage was just right. Still, I sold it back then, unfortunately, and also unfortunately for way too little. Well, now I’m wiser.
I also gave away the edt., at the moment I’m testing the edp. again.
I don’t perceive it as a diva scent but also not as a girly scent.
I can’t help it, it always reminds me of bubble bath and barrier cream under the diaper.
Also of ladies in polyester shirts and somehow it feels outdated.
I’m torn, the bubble bath aspect is pleasant, the other associations are less so. I never wear it, maybe it just doesn’t suit me. The longevity is also quite poor.
I also had Philtre and Tonka under my nose, so far I liked the Mexique the best.
Would it be a good idea to give my edp. to my mother-in-law for her birthday? I think it would suit her.

The Typical Scarf Scent
I have been testing it for some time now and I am completely thrilled.
It is a warm, unobtrusive, well-balanced cold weather scent. By no means is it cloying; nothing is sharp, piercing, or overwhelming.
I can distinctly smell the iris, the leather holds back nicely despite the name, and the vanilla is elegantly present.
Some might say it is too light or doesn’t last long. I cannot confirm that; I find it to be well and long-lasting with a gentle, delicate sillage. Perhaps it feels unusual at first if you are used to loud, intrusive fragrances.
Wear
Vanille Leather on a new day, let it work on you, in its softness and smooth embrace, take a walk where you can see your breath in the air, with your favorite cozy scarf, because this scent is such a typical scarf scent.
I cannot understand the comparison with Babycat or even Hibiscus Palm at all. It is more comparable to Scandal le Parfum in terms of character. Vanille Leather is much finer.

I do like the regular Black Opium, but I can't perceive it as well and tend to overapply it.
With the Extreme, it's different. I can perceive it better. It feels more mature, with a more dominant patchouli note in the base and overall has more "edge," as they say.
It is less sweet and a bit less lovable.
If you don't like patchouli that much, go for the classic; if you like fruit, choose the Neon; and if you prefer something with more edge, go for the Extreme.
The longevity is good on me.
