A month ago, I visited a Rituals store for the first time. I wanted to get their laundry detergent. But then I thought, "why not smell a few perfumes/body sprays?" First, I tried the super popular Sakura scent. I was a bit disappointed, so I wanted to try the others. When I smelled the Rituals scent inspired by Ayurveda, I was instantly in love. At that time, I was also looking for an everyday fragrance that is sweet and floral, but not too much. This gem smells as calming as a spa, yet still floral and sweet. Don't be put off by the rose in the notes, because this is by far the best and most modern version of rose that I have ever smelled. I immediately decided not only on the body spray but also got a whole set with shower foam, shower oil, and lotion. I've never smelled so good in my life. Simply perfect for layering. Perfect for any age and almost any occasion. The only thing that personally bothers me is the longevity. After two hours, it becomes a skin scent, hard to perceive. Nevertheless, I love that they have small travel sprays for on-the-go. I already have one in my bag, and it costs €6 for 20 ml, which isn't too bad. I AM THRILLED!! Try it for yourself!

Can we first talk about how beautiful the bottle is? It is heavy and feels super high-quality. Super original. This scent direction is completely new for a designer. I think it's great that it's something different. Some compare it to Lira, and I can confirm that they smell about 70% similar. However, Devotion is a bit scratchier with the lemon and the sugar, while Lira comes across as a bit creamier and not as strongly lemony on my skin. However, I wouldn't say that I prefer Lira much more. I expected more from that. The scent is perfect for me for spring, autumn, and winter... On slightly warmer days, I also find it good, but something bothers me about it. It is not so well balanced. Something is missing, which is why I tried to mix it with others. Unfortunately, it doesn't last as long as I expected. With the first spray, it is strong, but in an hour, it almost becomes a skin scent for me.

Sol de Janeiro is currently the "it" brand when it comes to body sprays, and for good reason. The scent here is no exception. For roughly €20, you get a total gourmet fragrance that makes you smell like a dessert. Although most of the brand's perfumes are more suitable for summer, I find that this one is perfect for the colder days. I always imagine sitting on the couch with my boyfriend, enjoying a cocoa drink with some cookies. The scent gives me exactly that cozy vibe. My sister doesn't like it as much, but men love it, perhaps because of its gourmand nature. Yes, it is more of a scent you want to bite into, which is why I believe it won't appeal to everyone, so always test it first. Currently, they are available at Douglas, so feel free to check it out. I personally wouldn't wear it to work, but it is still my feel-good scent.

For a year now, I've been a fan of Sol de Janeiro, and when I found out they were releasing a 2023 Summer Collection, I was sure I wanted to treat myself to one of the fragrances. I researched for so long… at first, I wanted to buy Bikini Season, but I ultimately decided on When in Rio. I was so excited when the delivery day came. But it wasn't what I expected. I found it way too sweet and scratchy, like an expired perfume for little kids. I wore it a maximum of 4 times and then set it aside for a few months. However, when I recently smelled the fragrance again. OMG - it has marinated and is definitely creamier, more sexy, and overall beautifully balanced. Not a trace of the scratchy sweetness. My boyfriend gave me so many compliments, even though he didn't like the scent a few months ago. The only thing I find unfortunate is the longevity, which unfortunately hasn't improved - so a maximum of one and a half hours. But with a matching lotion, it's still manageable. So ladies… if you have it, definitely reach for it again. This will be your perfect scent for beautiful summer evenings, and you will definitely get attention.
