At the beginning - Meh, but with time - Wow
I've been a fan of Sol de Janeiro for a year now and when I found out that they were launching a 2023 Summer Collection, I was sure I wanted to treat myself to one of the fragrances. I researched for so long... at first I wanted to buy Bikini Season, but decided on When in Rio. I was so excited when the day of delivery came. But it wasn't what I expected. I found it far too sweet and scratchy, like an expired perfume for small children. I only wore it a maximum of 4 times and then left it aside for a few months. But when I smelled the fragrance the other day. OMG - it has marinated and is definitely creamier, more sexy and nicely balanced overall. No trace of the scratchy sweetness. My boyfriend has given me so many compliments, even though he didn't think the scent was that good a few months ago. The only thing I find unfortunate is the longevity, which unfortunately hasn't improved - an hour and a half at most. But with a matching lotion, it still lasts. So ladies...if you have this, definitely go back for it. This will be your perfect fragrance for those lovely summer evenings and will definitely get you noticed.
