I came across this via a blind buy of Lattafa’s Mohra, which I got for $30 at Burlington’s and supposedly clones Halfeti Cedar with a twist. I’ve not bought Halfeti. But it’s on my list. Regardless I was quite happy with Mohra. nnThe only thing is that Mohra was a bit heavy to wear during summer in LA. So I was scouting for something a little lighter in this scent profile. I am definitely happy with Zimaya Reserved Black, as it’s lighter like I was hoping, but it also carry’s a subtle sweetness. I mean wow! What a well blended fragrance. The bottle with its wooden cap! Perfect!nnThe fragrance has a nice woody and minty note that smells like a forest coming alive in the morning. Reminds me of Sequoia National near my Abuelos campo in the Sierra Foothills. Again a subtle boozy and balsamic sweetness. With the lavender rendering a clean and fresh sensation. If I was a poet I’d definitely be inspired by this.

BUT this is too linear for my taste. It’s just been sitting on the back end of a shelf.

I picked it today and I had to layer it with Qeid Al Fursan. Sweetens it up and makes it interesting.

But that’s the juxtaposition. I gotta use a cheap pineapple sweet smelling fragrance to make this over hyped and overly expensive weak performing fragrance work for me.

Performance is another problem I have with Tom Ford. Yeah sure, some of his brands offerings smell interesting and great for like an hour and then it’s a skin scent.

So you gotta pay a premium for what equates to a ride at Disney. No mas. I can see why Tom cashed out. He got his “f it, rip them off” money.

But it’s alright. At least I’m not a chick buying Chinese made Vuitton bags .

I actually got this off the hype and it didn’t let me down. I’ve never put my nose onto Hacivat. I do detect that quite familiar Aventus like opening. But of course, instead of birch we get the synthetic musk and oak moss. Which I’m more than fine with.

People like to overplay the “I got compliments”. But for real, after having this on my weekly rotation for about a year now? I have gotten a few compliments from both men and women. Which is nice. I wear this as a work scent.

I work in my families pest control business and this is very pleasant to smell over a roach infested apartment. It’s like an oasis , thanks to Hawas giving us a heavy dose!

I Just got my 2nd bottle for $29 at Burlington. Serious I jumped on it with a swiftness and without a 2nd thought. Therefore I HIGHLY recommend this. I might buy a $200 bottle of Hacivat? But just going off how many reviews, across many sites attesting to HB’s closeness to the og and with a better performance? We’ll see.

I basically love anything that smells like Aventus. Specially that which has a twist. I’ve not put my nose on Aventus Absolu. But I already know the real deal Aventus is smoother, I have a bottle and like most I’ve noted that glorious scent doesn’t last as long performance wise.

This small baddie from Armaf is smooth and it flies off my skin and as if I was the Earth and it’s placed a scent bubble to my LeGrange Point. It does so for a solid 4-5 hours before it dials down closer to my skin without becoming a skin tight scent.

I just wished Armaf would put out a bigger bottle of this. I’d pay for that.

I absolutely love Bottled Absolu. I’m not a big Boss anything fan till I tested this piece out. My only problem with it is that I cannot wear this all the time living in SoCal where it’s hot. Just during our short winters and occasionally at night Spring and Fall.

I have Layton and I put this up there with it! Beautiful fragrance that is complex and develops nicely.
