Turquoise in a bottle!
You free this Zimaya from a wooden box, the front of which can be slid open. Nestled inside is the really pretty-looking bottle, which doesn't look so appealing in the photo here. The lid of the bottle is also wood-like.
Looking at the price, I am once again extremely pleasantly surprised at what a nose flatterer I have found here.
Without giving it much thought, the color turquoise immediately came to mind when I first noticed the fragrance. A dark, calming turquoise, similar to the color of the bottle, only slightly less blue...
Turquoise is said to have a calming and gently invigorating effect, and the same can be said of Reserved Black Cedar if you want to keep it short.
The fragrance starts slightly citrusy without being edgy or pungent and reveals a fine spiciness from the start, due to cardamom.
A light floral note, white and pure, can also be detected in the fragrance texture.
And it is precisely here that a pleasantly warm, slightly vitalizing sweet note joins in, which always lingers in a spicy, fresh and clean way.
This is clearly mainly due to styrax.
This is a natural resin that smells a little like amber. For me, however, it is less balsamic, but a little greener / grassier.
Fir balsam and moss therefore complement each other wonderfully here, resulting in a really great composition.
Some people would certainly attribute a "shower gel note" to this fragrance, a comparison I have often distanced myself from, because shower gel smells so diverse that the statement and the comparison are hardly meaningful.
But yes, Zimaya does have a certain vitalizing and, despite its sweetness, fresh and pure character.
For me, however, a harmonizing mix of styrax, fir balsam and cardamom is at the forefront.
I paid around 15 euros for this, which in my opinion is an absolute value-for-money hit, which in view of its name can really be described as a positive hit.
In my opinion, the fragrance is perfect for spring, chinos, white shirt, light jacket. Ergo, perfect for business and the office and / or meetings.
For midsummer, the sweetness permeates the fragrance too much, so now is the time to start wearing it properly.
Reserved Black Cedar lingers on my skin for around 6 hours, whereas the silage decreases significantly after a good hour. However, re-spraying should not be a problem at this price.
