Cunning? Not really.
After Justin Fuchs' fragrance debut seems to be quite polarizing, and at least in this Instagram fashion bubble it was on everyone's lips, I finally wanted to test it! So, I organized the bottle here in the souk and sprayed it on. The first impression was sobering: quite sweet, no wood. And indeed, the top note is exclusively sweet for me, nothing else. There’s nothing floral or woody coming through here; that takes time. If you give the fragrance about 15 minutes, the top note settles, and you can actually detect the sandalwood and oud very subtly, which balances out the sweetness, at least a bit. The further development of the scent on my skin is almost linear; much later I still smell a bit of vanilla, and it remains a sweet, slightly woody fragrance that doesn’t change much for me.
The longevity on my skin is excellent, easily 12 hours, although towards the end it’s only close to the skin. The sillage is almost too much for me; with just two sprays, you are well perceived in the first hours.
For me, Orodion is a sweet, almost cozy fragrance for an evening among friends or as a couple. It should also be suitable for going out. As a daily or signature scent, it’s too sweet for me, but tastes are subjective.
It certainly doesn’t deserve the harsh criticism; it should appeal to many, including young people.

My Introduction to Leather Scents!
I had tested a few leather fragrances in the past, including TF Tuscan Leather and Ombré Leather EdP. They never really impressed me, as they were simply too intense. After reading only good things about the OL perfume following its release, I had to get a sample, and I must say: I am thrilled!
The top note smells very leathery to me, but after about 10 minutes it fades, and floral and woody notes join in. The blend is very rounded for me, the woodiness is complemented by the soft leather, and the fragrance doesn’t become too heavy thanks to the floral accent. Overall, a great mix, not overpowering yet still special.
The longevity on my skin is very good; even 12 hours later, the scent is still perceptible up close.
The sillage is good, but I apply very little anyway because I don’t want to be noticed by the entire room.
Overall, for me, it’s a fantastic fragrance that is unique and definitely suitable for everyday wear, wearable in cooler temperatures; I still need to test it in summer.
Maybe my new signature!

My Favorite Scent!
To get straight to the point: Yes, the naming by Dior is very unfortunate, and yes, the scent has nothing to do with the earlier "Hommé." But that's exactly why I like it so much; the iris note is completely absent, and the fragrance is fresh, spicy, and woody.
I would like to leave a detailed description of the scent development to others, as there are plenty of excellent reviews out there. Just this much: The top note starts off bombastically: fresh, citrusy, slightly woody. The citrusy fruitiness fades quickly, and what remains is an increasingly woody scent, but the freshness surprisingly lasts a long time. At no point is it too heavy or intrusive. And that's exactly what I love about this fragrance: I don't want to disturb anyone with my perfume. I wear all scents close to the body and I'm not a fan of being smelled two meters away. Dior Homme fulfills this perfectly; it is fresh, masculine, doesn't clash, and yet has character. Despite having a large collection, I've noticed that I really almost exclusively reach for Dior Hommé; the scent simply works all the time.
I can only encourage everyone to test the fragrance without being bothered by its name. It is the "new" man, interpreted by Dior. Modern yet somehow classic, fresh and unobtrusive. In my opinion, absolutely worthy of being a signature scent, though for others it might be a bit boring. But that's the beauty of it: everyone perceives scents differently.

Unfortunately just a headache for me
Joop! Homme Ice opens just as the name promises: cool, fresh, fruity, sweet. I can't pick out any specific fruits here, the plum overshadows everything. Not a bad opening, ideal for spring. Unfortunately, after the drydown, the freshness disappears, and the Ice is gone, it has probably melted. It gets sweeter and sweeter, tobacco and sandalwood join in, and eventually, it’s just a strongly sweet mishmash that unfortunately gives me a headache. Longevity and sillage are quite good, you can still noticeably smell the fragrance after 5-6 hours, washing it off hardly helps.
For me, a blind buy that didn't work out, but it's not a bad scent either; the original Homme DNA can be detected in the background, definitely worth a try for fans of fruity-sweet fragrances.
The bottle is nothing special, fits well in the hand, and as another user noted, it's certainly not the ugliest on the shelf ^^

No Blind Purchase!
Hello dear Parfumos!
I haven't been in the world of fragrance for very long, but where better to start than with an all-time community favorite! Unfortunately, this one just doesn't work for me at all.
The top note is great, very fresh, not too sweet due to the light pepper in the background, a wonderful first impression. In the next 30 minutes, the scent becomes sharper and spicier in the drydown, but overall it remains balanced and pleasant. Unfortunately, that doesn't last on my skin; after about half an hour, all freshness gradually disappears, leaving only pepper and a woody note. And it's very intense. So intense that I ended up with a headache from it. The longevity is indeed excellent; the almost biting pepper remains strong and intense even after multiple washings.
I definitely don't want to speak poorly of the fragrance; it's not without reason that it's one of the best-selling men's fragrances of recent years. On the contrary, I want to encourage anyone considering ordering this fragrance blind to definitely test it first! Because apparently, Dior Sauvage works wonderfully on 95% of all men; my skin just doesn't seem to harmonize with it. It's a bit of a shame, as I really liked the scent at first! But there are plenty of alternatives :)
P.S.: For anyone wondering if I might have just gotten a bad sample of the blue D, I tested Sauvage EdT in three different instances and achieved the same result each time.
