Well, what can I say... it all started in a duty-free shop at the airport, where I had some time to kill, and lo and behold... Tom Ford fragrances right in front of me. I picked out a few and smelled the test strips.
Oud Wood was already familiar to me as a "well-known Tom Ford fragrance," and among my selection, this scent caught my attention the most. So, I treated myself to a few sprays for the upcoming flight and was curious about what awaited me:

For me - as a previous "designer fragrance" connoisseur - the scent was already very extraordinary from the start, and a woody, smooth, and very noble-seeming fragrance DNA accompanied me for the next few hours. The scent reminded me of forest walks and nature, with a sillage that was not too "overbearing," as I initially feared.
Not two days passed before I had to order the fragrance at home.

Even now, after numerous samples of other well-known niche fragrances, Oud Wood still stands out from the crowd for me, and I do not regret the purchase for a second.

For me, it's simply a great all-round fragrance - not too dominant or overwhelming, but rather comes across as elegant and gentleman-like due to its fresh aquatic formulation. I enjoy wearing it in my everyday office job and appreciate the pleasant, successful aura it evokes, while still maintaining an understated vibe that the scent DNA triggers in me.
In my opinion, it's also an absolute blind buy candidate - if you're looking for a "daily driver" for the office.
