I find that this Intense version smells much better than the original. The acidity feels rounder, and the vanilla comes through more clearly. I really like this overall rounded, smooth feeling. The sillage and longevity are also significantly better than the original. The only minor drawback: This typical Penhaligon's base keeps appearing in the base notes - that particular scent I perceive in the background of several of the brand's women's fragrances. It is not necessarily an unpleasant scent, but somehow it bothers me a little. But overall, it smells very good. I like it very much.

When testing it in the store, I found that the caramel note was really well done - not cheap, not sticky-sweet, not too sweet, and blended very well with the vanilla. Since it happened to be on sale, I immediately bought the original bottle. But after wearing it several times, I can hardly perceive any caramel anymore, mainly vanilla. The vanilla is very smooth, refined, and close to the skin - almost like a natural body scent. After a while, it smells very similar to Tihota on my skin, just not quite as long-lasting as Tihota. However, when sprayed on fabric, it lasts quite a long time. It really smells good - a fragrance I like very much.

I bought this fragrance because of the caramel and popcorn notes. But I don't think it captures these two aromas as well as Zara's "Salted Caramel" room fragrance. My son, however, said it smelled similar to Zara's "Salted Caramel" hand wash. Over time, a sticky, syrupy sweetness develops. Up close, it seems almost too sweet and cloying to me, but the trail that spreads around is still acceptably sweet and pleasant. Chestnut is listed in the fragrance pyramid - I do perceive a nutty note, but chestnut would not be my immediate association. I notice virtually nothing of the orchid. This fragrance is an extrait, but the sillage is not as intense as I had feared - although the longevity is quite impressive. In the afternoon, I sprayed it on a stuffed animal, and around midnight, that syrup note was still noticeable - it seemed as though the base of vanilla and sandalwood had not yet been reached. Overall, the fragrance is rather linear. I don't think it is particularly suited to wearing on the skin, but sprayed on a stuffed animal to create a cozy atmosphere in a room - that is quite nice.

I first bought a sample. At the time, I was completely blown away - a very rounded, soft, and pleasant sandalwood fragrance. The sillage and longevity were also impressive: I once sprayed some on my husband’s arm during the day, and by evening the entire bedroom smelled intensely of it. So I subsequently purchased the full bottle. But for some reason, the original bottle has a distinctly noticeable “plastic” note. I don’t know whether my description is entirely accurate, but it is a smell clearly separate from the sandalwood note, and it doesn’t really appeal to me. The fragrance also no longer seems as intense and rounded. I heard that changes were made in later versions due to problems with raw materials. I suspect that my sample may still have been from the older version. Such a shame. In the new version, the sandalwood note is still the same, but it seems weakened in its texture, and together with this strange plastic smell, I have no choice but to leave the fragrance unused.

Upon first smelling it, one initially perceives a very distinct scent of lemon cake - very delicious, but not too sweet and by no means overpowering or sticky. The sillage is also good; it is not merely a fragrance that only you yourself can perceive. Recently, I acquired a similar creation by the same perfumer, namely Akro Bake. I find that Bake is more reminiscent of hard candies, is sweeter and seems somewhat more girlish. But I also detect a dry woody note, so I think it can certainly be worn by men as well. Lira, on the other hand, comes across as a purer feminine fragrance, with a soft texture - a scent for women who are mature but still have a little girl inside. It does not seem childish. The base note is a very pleasant vanilla scent, extremely comforting.
