i'll admit this was not love at first sniff b/c despite being a gourmand lover, i thought it was too sweet on paper. i'm glad i tried it on my skin b/c the salt eventually came out to tone down the sweetness. i felt very exquisite the few times i wore my sample, maybe not like a goddess, but as if i'm on a beach resort. this one lasts for 6-7 hours & has moderate sillage (arm's length). i can't wait to get my hands on more!

i already own black opium, so i will definitely not be buying hundred silent ways! if you don't know what black opium smells like, i get spicy vanilla & coffee. hundred silent ways leans a tad bit more sweet white floral in comparison. performance is also quite similar to black opium on me (moderate sillage, longevity: ~6 hours), so this is too expensive for what you're getting.

disclaimer: i tried the edt first & went through 2 full bottles. i now have a 10 ml decant, but i recently decided to buy a sample of the edp to compare. also, i'm almost certain this is post-reformulation (i have no idea what it used to smell like).

i feel a tiny bit of regret getting the decant of the edt b/c i ended up liking the edp more! edt is more musky, but edp is more floral. it's a more creamy floral, & i actually appreciate the coconut here (i typically don't care for coconut in fragrances). the edp is also MUCH stronger than the edt on me: edp lasts 9+ hours on bare skin while the edt lasts 4 hours over vaseline + lotion.

so while i really like both, edp is the clear winner!

i adore floral fruity scents, & this is no exception! i get peonies & strawberries (even though the latter isn't listed as a note), so this smells very pretty & youthful. however, i can't smell it after 20 minutes! it's not b/c i became anosmic to it b/c i asked a coworker (had her sit right next to me), & she said she couldn't smell anything. very disappointing...if any of y'all have recommendations that are similar, please let me know!
