More than vintage for me. Almost primal.
Memories of childhood games and explorations in the forest. It smelled of earth, the sweet cyclamen, wild and the arm was a little torn open by thorny vines and you just licked the blood off.
Rose Barbare did not smell like a child. Not like a woman and not like a man to me either.
In addition to the rose, there is also sweetness, a hint of sweat, metal and something tart.
I find it serious. Grandma Wetterwachs might even have liked it (fans of Scheibenwelt know all about it).
It smells of old knowledge that you don't tend to find in books, of fireflies in the twilight of a forest.
He doesn't tell me about any rose-colored loveliness, but that doesn't matter. Others are responsible for that.
For me, it is dark green interwoven with blood red.

I probably wouldn't have come up with the idea of getting this fragrance myself. The eau de toilette was somehow too sharp, too 90s and somehow too much "men's shower gel" for me
After receiving the eau de parfum as a gift, I tried it out without expecting too much and I have to say that for me it has almost nothing to do with the original. A beautiful rose, sweet and fresh. Just a little bit rough, probably due to the vetiver. It reminds me a little of Good Girl Eau de Parfum or the numerous dupes (Miss Dream, for example).
Just not quite. There is this scratchy twist, the fragrance is not quite as pleasing.
Nevertheless, I find it flattering, soft, warm and at the same time fresh, and I like it all the more the longer I wear it. Many fragrances with a fresh undertone disappoint a little in the drydown, but I find this one more and more beautiful. Very well-groomed, almost creamy.
In terms of timing, it fits perfectly into the fall and winter, which you wouldn't guess from the packaging.
It doesn't suit me at all. In summer, the whole thing would certainly be far too intense for me.
Cool Water doesn't really fit here, it could have been a completely independent fragrance.

Why do you think I "needed" Pink Sugar of all things??
At the home office for weeks, on a diet, in the rainy early summer with fresh ten degrees? Yes. And the argument that at least Poison Girl should be enough for me didn't count.
Maybe I just wanted the mailman to loosen up the boring day. Probably also...
But, that smell is enchanting! I didn't really expect that. A little American Cream from Lush (for me), Balla Stix from Haribo, cuddly musk. Nothing smells burnt to me. It is artificial, but I also love the Blendi Strawberry from my son and I secretly brush my teeth with it. I also love these pastel pink jellybeans with a pink chewing gum taste, so don't be afraid to touch them.
This fragrance is as sexy and ladylike as letting your loved one blow-dry their cold toes in bed and hide their favourite sweets in the vegetable drawer. An advantage nowadays, that it doesn't matter if you sit in front of your computer in your pink pyjamas and smell like Pink Sugar
A fragrance for yourself, a comforting touch.

My mother used to have a cream eye shadow in a glass jar when I was little. It was so metallic silver and smelled like a distillate of powdery make-up, pink dusty velvet curtains in the boudoir, plush armchairs in front of the dressing table, glittering chandelier light that breaks in the mirror...
Somehow ancient, delicious and mysteriously wicked at the same time.
From the beginning I assumed that the "girl" was a squeaky-sweet Hubbabubba action and little depth
The gum is right there at the beginning. Delicious, juicy and more like a light pink candy to eat. I'd buy it right now!
But then the well known sweet flower powder accord, which dominates the gourmands, began. However, for me here in a very own direction.
Pink treats and as already said unpacked at the dressing table of a being that is all kinds of things (yes, maybe even a girl every now and then), but certainly not as sweet and innocent as the outfit would suggest.
The beautiful top note lasts longer on clothes than on my skin. In general, the durability is quite good, but after six hours I do not notice the fragrance (skin) anymore
What a pity, because I find it really delicious and special
But the name is really kind of stupid and if a poison, then the vanilla big sister.

My dad, a sprightly 70 year old came to visit me a few months ago, fragrant with sun cream. During a return visit I tried his eau de toilette out of curiosity. Roch as if showered with sea breeze shower gel and then creamed with sun protection factor 30. Not noble (keep!) but summery and funny. Since my dad already sees pretty badly, he immediately panicked: "That's for men, isn't it? It said masculine or something!"
Yeah, everything's fine. XD
I also got a bottle as a present and was moved and horrified at the beginning. Meanwhile I really like it, it fits to the summer.
