Cherry Cherry Lady
To put it succinctly: probably the best cherry fragrance.
To make it longer, well, let me start.
At the beginning you have an intense, fruity cherry. Not cheap or squeaky, but very classy and delicious. As it progresses, almond comes through, bringing with it a certain warmth and creaminess. Still elegant, despite a slight sweetness.
For me, the fragrance is unisex, but definitely in a more feminine direction. Very good sillage, even better longevity. Absolute compliment-getter, great for going out in the evening.
Unbeatable value for money.

good things take time
Kilian, Love don't be Shy. THE perfume that Rihanna wears. It was just too expensive for me. But I still think the DNA is just too beautiful. By chance, a dear Souk partner gave me a bottle. The first time I sprayed it, I was very disappointed. It smelled pungent and acrid on the test strip. Well, maybe it will get better on the skin. And HOW it gets better.
After just a few minutes, the pungent petitgrain fades and the beautifully fluffy marshmallow emerges. Sweet and cloudy, it envelops you and simply has more to offer than Kilian's LDBS.

The better Meliora
Parfums de Marly is one of the first ports of call for many niche beginners. I also fell in love with Delina and Meliora at first. But somehow it wasn't worth the money for me. Yes, they undoubtedly smell good. Very good, in fact. But for the price, I want "more". Less mass-appealing, more uniqueness. If you pay niche, you also want to smell niche.
That's what I always find with Louis Vuitton. Both fragrances have something in common thanks to the blackcurrant. Sparkling and fruity like champagne bubbles. But in contrast to the floweriness of Meliora, Le Jour se leve has this beautiful cleanliness and freshness thanks to the citrus notes. A great all-rounder, especially in the office or if you work around people a lot. Feminine but still grown-up, not the typical sweet-floral-fruity. A fragrance that goes well with a freshly ironed white blouse and light blue jeans. You'll stand out without being out of place, a really beautiful composition. Simply that certain freshness to spray on.

L is for Love... and lychee
The bubble tea hype returned to Berlin and the whole of Germany in 2020. Especially in summer, people liked to stand in the long queues and order one of the colorful and sugary drinks. But every time my friend ordered her lychee green tea with lychee jelly and lychee bubbles, I felt quite different. "How can anyone like this weird, gooey fruit?" I thought every time.

But even if lychee is totally off-putting when it comes to food, it's a completely different matter in perfume. Whether it's Delina by PdM or Attrape-Reves by LV, there's something about this funny fruit that always gets me excited. Fruity and sweet with gourmand, just the way I like it best.

And then in combination with vanilla. I only like it in perfume, but also in ice cream. And that's exactly how the perfume smells to me. Creamy vanilla ice cream, sweet lychee bubble tea and a few flowers in the background. Very grown-up without being old-fashioned. Great composition at a price that you see far too rarely in the niche segment (90€ for 75ml at Flaconi). Smells good in summer, but even better in winter.

A rose with thorns
Oud in combination with rose is no longer a rarity in the niche segment. Kilian, Dior Privée, Jo Malone and Kayali all have similar fragrances in their ranges. But this one stands out. Unfortunately in a negative way.

The opening is very loud and shrill. Typical MFK, as we know it from classics such as BR540 or Gentle Fluidity Gold. A dark, loud rose is in the foreground, closely followed by oud. Unfortunately, I can't smell the vanilla at all, which would perhaps add some sweetness.

I actually really like rose fragrances. Whether sweet or evil, light or dark, rose always works, especially in the cold season. That's why I was all the more disappointed when I sprayed it on. After a short drydown, the floral notes unfortunately disappear and the oud is alone in the foreground, which unfortunately is just too much for me, too biting, too pungent and too animalic. Although the fragrance is quite feminine, it is still too oud-heavy for me personally. Too bad, but simply a matter of taste. Definitely not a blind buy.

Objectively, however, the fragrance is amazing. Incredible longevity and sillage, especially on clothing.
