Not just for an office anymore !

So, I recently received my bottle of Tom Ford Oud Wood Parfum.
I generously spritzed myself and I can say - this is fantastic perfume!
PROS:
️ The same DNA as the EDP version, but darker, more refined, lasts twice as long on my skin
️ (The EDP version lasts 3-4 hours on me with a low projection, the Parfum version - 8-9 hours with a medium projection).
️ Lots of high-quality natural materials such as: cardamom, patchouli, pink pepper, vetiver, rosemary.
️ Balanced formula. OWP smells special, rounded, nothing is too much or too little, such a balanced fragrance is rare even among the best niche brands.
️ Thameen Carved Oud (a niche OW variant) doesn’t compare to the OWP version in terms of refinement, natural materials, longevity, or projection.
️ The fragrance is not linear, it changes significantly on the skin, I suspect the musks react very nicely with the skin’s “chemistry” and the perfume becomes even more intense after an hour than just when sprayed, becoming more sexy.
CONS:
️ Price! These perfumes will start at 429 euros for a 50ml bottle, which means they are much more expensive than most niche perfumes…
️ The Oud! I don’t feel the real oud, and with such a price, I want not just oud and sandalwood accords, but real materials…
️ On the blotter, the fragrance is very uniform and weak, so it needs to be tested only on the skin.
My CONCLUSION:
Those who plan to buy these perfumes must really love the Oud Wood DNA, because it is an extremely expensive pleasure, but without a doubt the best TF attempt to revive Oud Wood, as it solves all EDP issues: projection, longevity on the skin, fragrance progression, and refinement (since OW is mostly considered as a “for office” scent, whereas this version is more “for special occasions”).

Vanilla Sex is not boring Vanilla scent!
It really is a linear scent, it remains very similar from spray to finish, changes little, but it is absolutely not a boring scent.
It is a mix of spicy vanilla, milky almonds, and neroli, balanced to perfection. No wonder it should be an extremely popular scent.
Suitable for all genders, it is a very pleasant smell and maybe not everyone will agree, but I think it is worth the high price due to its uniqueness. It has been a long time since Tom Ford had such a unique scent!
Generally, such a combination is not often encountered (almonds, neroli, a lot of vanilla).
Overall, this new release from Tom Ford is excellent, Vanilla Sex deserves everyone's attention!

Vanille Fatale my good old veteran perfume
This is already a veteran of my collection, as the perfume was originally released in 2017. However, the new version is slightly different; according to my knowledge, it is a reformulated version due to IFRA regulations.
The new version retains the same DNA as the old one, but the floral accords are more emphasized, the juicy plums are less noticeable, but the coffee accord is much more pleasant.
In my opinion, the new version lasts a bit longer on the skin, but the projection has weakened, it feels less spicy, and there is more of a light leather accord created using Safraline (which is present in a large amount in, for example, Ganymede's top notes).
In general, I recommend the scent for both men and women, but I think women will appreciate it more due to the more pronounced floral accord.
If you have an older version - I wouldn't recommend buying the new one, but if a combination of vanilla, coffee, and yellow flowers with a dash of juicy plum sounds delicious - try it, and you definitely won't regret it, it will be worth the price. ️
