Like the incense cones at Grandma's
For me, the most pleasant fragrance from the Toskovat range so far, which I was allowed to test as part of a traveling letter.
The fragrance greets me with a strong blend of pipe tobacco, wood and whiskey and remains quite linear on my skin and everything eventually blends into a scent of delicious smoked wood.
It also reminds me a little of the little smoking hats that used to be at my grandma's house.

The longevity is once again excellent, even with just 1 spray from the atomizer.

Cherry with smoke and leather
Thanks to a travel letter, I was able to sniff a few fragrances from the Toskat brand. I hadn't had any contact with the brand before and was very excited because some of the fragrance pyramids read a bit adventurously. This also applies to "Born Screaming | Toskovat'" with energy drink, latex, plastic and pearl, among others.
So I had no idea what exactly to expect.

Sniffing the filling atomizer revealed to me the smell of a marzipan cake.
So we continued with the skin test. At first, there is a strong alcohol note on my skin, which slowly subsides and releases the scent of smoke, leather and a little cherry. This is joined by something slightly pungent, like slightly burnt plastic.
In the DD, the fragrance changes somewhat. The pungent plastic disappears, the smoky note develops from a campfire smoke to an incense note, the (artificial) cherry becomes much more apparent and the leather note recedes into the background.

Longevity is great, by the way. I sprayed the fragrance on my wrist in the afternoon (1 spray). I showered in the evening and could still smell the fragrance on my wrist the next day (albeit more delicately).

In the end, the fragrance wasn't as weird as the description would suggest. It's not quite to my personal taste. But if you like cherry, leather and smoke, you can give it a try.

Positively surprised against all expectations
Brief history:
So far, milky fragrances or even skin-but-better fragrances have not gone down well with my skin. My skin also likes to swallow a good portion of vanilla and too much musk (looking at you "For Her (Eau de Toilette) | Narciso Rodriguez" ) gives me a headache.
So in terms of the fragrance pyramid, we shouldn't have matched on paper. Then I swapped a bottle from a dear perfumer (thank you, Desole) and what can I say? I am pleasantly surprised by "Milk Musk (Eau de Toilette) | Molton Brown".

At the beginning, a milky vanilla unfolds directly on my skin, paired with the typical cleanliness of musk, but not so much that the cleanliness becomes sharp and booming. Simply just the right amount. In the drydown, the musk disappears on my skin and what remains is a warm, non-synthetic vanilla, very close to the skin, but above all cuddly and cozy.
I don't notice the fruit in the pyramid at all, but it doesn't bother me either. It works for me and on my skin, and that's the most important thing for me.
It really is a cozy fragrance that I will continue to try out and who knows - maybe it will move into my home as a bottle

Thanks again to Desole for the beautiful bottle and to Olympia for drawing my attention to the fragrance as an alternative to "Blanche Bête - Eau de Peau | Liquides Imaginaires"

Between herbaceous and wonderfully calming
The fragrance starts on my skin with a herbaceous, slightly spicy explosion, which becomes weaker and softer after a few minutes. In the drydown, a pleasant camomile note quickly takes over, while the herbaceous notes remain in the background.
The fragrance quickly becomes very close to my skin, but I can smell it again and again for a few hours like a gentle gust of wind. I don't smell the woody notes and the vanilla (my skin generally swallows a lot of vanilla).

I find the fragrance very interesting; the opening is not quite my taste, but the chamomile in the drydown is very much my taste.
I don't think it will be a whole bottle.

Synthetic vanilla - sometimes top, sometimes flop
I've been quite curious about the Ariana Grande fragrances for a while, especially because they are so popular, and have been sniffing through samples accordingly.

With Mod Vanilla, the name definitely says it all - vanilla as far as the nose can smell. However, this is not a dark or fruity vanilla, but a sugary-sweet vanilla that is reminiscent of vanilla crescents, but becomes very synthetic in the drydown. I can just about make out the praline note, but all other apparently present fragrance notes such as freesia or plum are overshadowed by the synthetic vanilla on my skin.

For me, the fragrance takes on an additional pungent note in the drydown, which means that I can't wear it on any given day without feeling a little woozy or getting a slight headache.

I was able to smell the fragrance for around 3 - 4 hours and whenever I moved, the scent gently wafted into my nose. The phase in which I was able to perceive the fragrance close to my skin lasted a very long time - I could still detect it delicately on my wrist the next day.

I can imagine Mod Vanilla more in the cold season, as a companion for chilly winter evenings spent at home, snuggled up in the comforter.

Conclusion: If you fancy a good load of synthetic vanilla, then this is a hit. For me, however, it remains a rare companion and for my vanilla crescent moments I prefer to reach for other fragrances such as "Black Opium Le Parfum | Yves Saint Laurent".
