I have to admit that I only knew Sun in the nineties and only had it with me for a short time before giving it to my mom, like so many fragrances that I didn't like on me. We didn't warm to each other, the Sun and I. For a while I wasn't interested in Jil Sander at all and then I saw an advertisement in a magazine with this beautiful young woman, cheeky, in an unusual pose and was curious. Who is she? I want to smell like her too!
One spray and I was hooked. Interesting, soft and so seductive. I find this blend of lavender and iris with the musk and warm vanilla simply irresistible on my skin. An absolute compliment catcher, this fragrance. Even today, 14 years later, people still ask me what I'm wearing. Lasts forever and works for me both in the office and in the evening. Luckily I found a bunker bottle in Rossmann at the beginning of the year, it was forbiddenly cheap and stood there all alone on the shelf and had to go. It's a real shame that it was discontinued. For me, it has absolute signature quality and is a classic.

Pre-Christmas magic
For me, this is a caramel bomb that is second to none. Wonderfully sweet, soft and - as several people have confirmed - simply delicious. A slight popcorn note comes through for me and very little vanilla. The chocolate can only be guessed at as a topping if you fancy a dessert. Only works for me on cold days and lasts about 6 hours on my skin. I can still smell it on scarves the day after next. Absolute favorite scent for cold days and only for cold days. Super gourmand, which comes very close to the Christmas market fragrance that I unfortunately still haven't really found.

I was so hoping...
... that this is finally the ultimate Christmas market fragrance that I've been looking for so long. I was able to get hold of the large 100 ml flacon online at Jo Malone and saw me already strolling through the Christmas market: There's mulled wine in front on the right, back there the waffles are already hot and just here was somewhere something delicious with cinnamon? Will you take a bag of roasted hazelnuts? Absolutely! But I also want gingerbread!

The bottle really comes in a wundschönen gingerbread man-brown with hearty bow therefore. That lets guess but already a lot. I thought to myself and began to dream...

And now to reality: Fortunately, the package was a small goodie with three 1.5 ml samples of the entire Christmas collection and so I could test the Ginger Biscuit. Expectantly I sprayed and sprayed and waited and waited.... Yes, okay, cologne, but please, what is it? And at that price? I was olfactory felt at the other end of town and could only still see the lights of the Christmas market somewhere back there. Huhu?
A little water with which, with quite a lot of imagination, possibly the rest of a mulled wine glass was rinsed out. So delicate and so disappointing. My husband said: Have you already sprayed? Since he had actually sponsored me the fragrance as a gift and thus also saw the price on the credit card, he was also very excited and then immediately said: "Can you return it and get the money back?" Next tester was my colleague. I put on another one and was then in the office about 40 min later. If someone had caught us while she was intensively sniffing my neck to get a whiff of something, the rumor mill would have been buzzing. But even she, very experienced in sniffing and evaluating my scents, has smelled almost nothing.
And so I returned the package today with a heavy heart. Fortunately, the Christmas market season is just around the corner, the treats "without regret" to enjoy, remains obviously denied me this year - immediately her with the mulled wine and the extra large bag of gingerbread!
