Who spilled the maple syrup??
I had a strange experience with this one. I got this as a sample with some other fragrances, and though it was securely bundled in bubble wrap, and sealed in a plastic bubble wrap mailer, I could smell it before I even opened the package! I thought maybe one of the sample vials had broken or come open during the shipping process. But no, as other reviewers have mentioned, this fragrance is just that strong.
Now here is where the strange part comes in for me: when I tested it on myself, there was an initial delicious explosion of coffee and spice that lasted only a few seconds, then about 2 minutes of cocoa, and then absolutely NOTHING. I was so confused. Where was this monstrous, overwhelming scent projection everyone was talking about? What was wrong with my nose? I think I must have been having the experience that @Tlivinvida97 had written about in their review. I don't know what was up, but I was so disappointed.

Then, for some reason, I decided to try it again yesterday. Thinking that my timid application the last time might have been to blame, this time I just went for it, and applied what for me is a lot.
And this time, I was not disappointed. I saw what everyone was talking about. Wow, what a delectable fragrance!! It's everything I had hoped that Killian Black Phantom Memento Mori would be and isn't. So delicious, complex, gourmand, and sweet. The last part especially; in fact, this is one of the scents that I have to watch off before going to sleep, otherwise I have the feeling it would make me sick to my stomach. Maple syrup to the max. Like when you eat a stack of pancakes and accidentally get maple syrup on yourself, and even though you wash it off, you still feel like you're smelling it all day. That sounds bad. But I feel it's manageable as long as you 1) Wash it off before you get sick of it, and 2) Don't get it on your clothes, whatever you do.

Again, I know this review is a little ambiguous, but I feel like this is a fragrance that I could really grow to love. For now, my second impression leaves me cautiously optimistic.

TL/DR: So strong I could smell it before I opened the bottle, but first try smelled like nothing. Second try smelled like everything, all day, but in a way I think I like. Do not blind buy.

Diet Pepsi?
I can't explain it, and I don't know which note or combination of notes is responsible for it, but this fragrance really evokes the scent of diet Pepsi for me. It seems like an odd thing to say, but I always thought it was a really fun and pleasant fragrance. It's not as though it smells like you spilled your soda on yourself, but it just has a really particular sweet and almost fizzy quality to the scent. I've never smelled anything else like it (except for diet Pepsi).

More musk than milk
I was hoping for more of a lactonic accord, but I don't hate this. It's an easy fragrance to wear, and one that I feel is unlikely to be objectionable to people around you. A nice, unassuming daytime scent with a comforting quality. The price isn't great; but if you have a hard time finding an everyday scent that you find wearable in a wide variety of situations, you might not mind.

Hear me out.
I really recommend this if you like the scent of Lira by Xerjoff but find Lira too overpowering to wear all day. To me, 402 is a very similar fragrance but much more gentle on the senses than Lira.
Normally I don't think of weak sillage as a good thing, but in the case of extremely sweet fragrances like this, I think it's a positive trait.
