Not as sweet as expected
I bought this on a blind buy because I'm obsessed with marshmallow and sweet scents. This wasn't as sweet as expected. I know it's a unisex scent but I feel like it leans more masculine. I'm thinking of giving it to my boyfriend who's also a gourmand lover. I definitely don't see myself ever reaching for this.

Milk-
Reminds me of baking rice krispy squares during Christmas with my mom as a kid, licking the sticky marshmallow off of a wooden spoon.

First sample in the Commodity Exploration Kit I’m reviewing and I personally LOVE this scent. It’s a very light gourmand scent that is like a mix of marshmallow and cashmere with a slight woody note. It lasts for hours but isn’t over powering. No toothaches here! It’s light enough that I would throw this into a regular daily rotation for sure. This makes me super excited to try the rest of this kit

Sugary Sweet Marshmallow
Working through the Commodity Milk strengths, I find that Milk- is probably the most cloyingly sweet of the Milk line. I actually like Milk Expressive, it's a bit more dynamic and layered and there's a bit more to it than "super sweet lactonic marshmallow". Unfortunately, this is just what Milk- is.

First spray, I pick up a milky marshmallow crusted in sugar, like those cartoon character shaped ones you find wrapped in plastic at carnivals and malls. It wouldn't be so bad if they toned down the sweetness a bit, but this was the kind of sugary that almost felt gritty on the nose. It had no restraint, and I was unfortunately unable to smell any of the roasted sesame or woody notes that may have tempered it a bit.

This smell lingered for a good while, at least... but unfortunately for me, by hour 1 or 2, I felt like I needed to at least rinse my wrist with water because I could feel a headache developing. It still lingered faintly the next morning, so it's a good, long lasting fragrance and the sillage at least stayed pretty intimate.

Cozy Comfort
This is the ultimate comfort fragrance. The sillage is intentionally weak (I can't yet speak to the longevity), so I find myself often lifting my wrist to my nose to enjoy the scent. This is a fragrance I'll wear to bed, as well as casual occasions when I want a non-imposing scent.

I'm testing it over a vanilla amber body lotion, so I think it would layer very well with any fragrance that is vanilla and/or amber forward.

A good vanilla gourmand to have
When I first purchased a travel size of this perfume I found it pleasant and fairly straightforward: a sugary vanilla grounded by some subtle woodiness. To be totally honest, I bought it because I'd heard good things and also heard that men tend to respond well to vanilla perfumes on women, and I was about to start dating again and wanted a nice but not groundbreaking date fragrance. Recently, after letting it sit mostly unused for over a year (dating is hard, okay?), I tried it again and was struck by a strong smoky overtone in the opening. Suddenly it wasn't just sweet vanilla, but unmistakably a marshmallow charred over a wood fire. It's still very sugary, and it's not like it magically turned dark and dramatic, but either the perfume itself or my perception of it has a little more oomph and edge now.

I liked how it smelled at first sniff, but I like how it smells to me now even more. It seems stronger as well, so I had to pull back the amount I use. Whether or not other people experience the same change over time, I think Milk- is a good choice if you are looking for a sweet vanilla gourmand with just enough going on to keep it interesting. It has good staying power and decent projection even though it's billed as the "personal" version of the Milk fragrance. I haven't tried the others, so I can't say how it compares to those.

Cozy, toasty, slightly gourmand. What this does, it does well. I wear it to yoga and feel like the hottest little marshmallow in the studio.

More of a slightly sweet woody scent to me than a gourmand. Close sillage that whispers rather than shouts. A very easy reach for me

Cozy and lactonic marshmallow with mahogany wood and musk. I love it so much, definitely my favorite of the milk trio.

Smells pleasant and woody on paper, but gives pickle on my skin.

i’m not sure why the milk line hates my skin so bad but this smells like if almond extract were poison on me, not in a good way

Love it ! Best notes of the Milk series, but there is absolutely no projection at all, sometimes I even struggle to smell it on myself :(

The musk lends it quite a soapy aspect to me, which doesn't complement the creamy sweetness. Expressive is definitely my winner for this one

Unlike the other two Milks, this is inoffensive and does not burn my nose. Lightly sweet and quite woody to my nose.

This is milky, marshmallows, white hot chocolate. Wouldn’t wear- a little too sweet for me. I prefer afternoon delight for this type of scent.
