Milk- Commodity 2021

I bought this on a blind buy because I'm obsessed with marshmallow and sweet scents. This wasn't as sweet as expected. I know it's a unisex scent but I feel like it leans more masculine. I'm thinking of giving it to my boyfriend who's also a gourmand lover. I definitely don't see myself ever reaching for this.

Milky sweetness with woody accords that stop it from being too sickly. Dries down to a lovely marshmallowy cream with a touch of resin, it sits really nicely on my skin and feels intimate and cosy. I like that it doesn’t project too much, I wore it a lot on a trip to Japan because I didn’t want to smell too strongly of fragrance since it’s considered a little rude to smell too outrageous on the subway there. A really great everyday scent, it feels neutral and delicate. My favourite Commodity fragrance!

this is bad this is really really bad. sharp and biting and somehow curdling and chemical at the same time, i have never had a fragrance turn my stomach this violently AND it did it within 15 seconds of the first spray. i remember Milk smelling nasty and synthetic at the start before it mellowed out and Paper- being an instant scrubber but neither of them had the exact combination of lactones and aromachemicals that makes this smell like disgusting rancid chemical waste. not even Not a Perfume Eau de Parfum which smells like whale jizz accord provoked this kind of physical revulsion i feel genuinely, legitimately sick

This is definitely the most lactonic of the milk trilogy, in the best possible way. The initial spray is all cold, clean milk, then as it settles the marshmallow comes in and sweetens things up, with just the slightest hint of coconut. As time goes on the musk becomes more prominent, with just a light underlying woodiness. It’s such a cozy scent, perfect for autumn and winter.

I originally preferred the milk+ because there’s a *lot* more marshmallow in that one, but there’s also less milk so in a way it’s less true to its name. Having tried this one again, I think milk- might actually be perfect. It’s nowhere near as strong, which is the whole point, but it still projects nicely and lasts a good while. I can’t fault this one; it does exactly what it says on the bottle.

This has quickly turned into my bedtime fragrance. It's perfectly sweet and lactonic without smelling too adolescent or sugary sweet. It also pairs well with so many Poesie oils I have. The price point is also more reasonable than some other milk fragrances that are similar. This is definitely on my fb wishlist.
