"Do what your big brother tells you"
Actually, it doesn't fall short of its big role model in any way. The scent journey begins just as nicely with pineapple. In the drydown, the two become quite indistinguishable.

BUT: let a few hours pass and the price difference becomes apparent. It gets tired after a few hours and starts to "smell off." In the sense that the quality of the fragrance oil has reached its limit here. But that's a petty point, because otherwise there’s really nothing to criticize here.

This is the scent of satisfaction & wealth
This is the absolute best summer fragrance. Ever. It's amazing that it was only available at Zara.

Zara has engaged a wonderful experienced perfumer for this scent, who has also worked for Diptyque, Byredo, Hermes & Frederic Malle. Under a different label, this fragrance could easily cost €200.

The scent evokes deep sunshine shining on bare skin by the sea. The coconut-scented sunscreen reapplied anew. A hint of musk and bergamot makes it even more attractive in the evening while wearing a white linen shirt.

Shisha Tobacco with Nimm 2 Candy Flavor
Sweet like baklava, but instead of the taste of dough, nuts, and butter - I only perceive Nimm 2 candies. The bright & dark reds.
And in the drydown, it goes to the shisha bar: "One shisha with fruit platter flavor, please."

In the opening, it's already very sweet and soft. The soft note remains linear, but the raspberry develops and becomes a bit (but really just a bit) darker and more mature. It's as if the fragrance matures like a good red wine during the entire drydown within an hour.

A bit more depth and darkness would suit the fragrance better in my opinion. The soft sweetness tends to make it more feminine.

But: a beautiful unique fragrance DNA. I can well imagine this scent for parties in spring/early summer.

Roses are red
Saffron is black, who created this beautiful scent?

To begin with: it is not a classic AdP, here the longevity is longer than 10 minutes. It is a very rosy fragrance, a bit of darkness and depth in the note would be nice, but it is already fine as it is.

It smells high-quality, my first two associations were: Tuxedo and an extremely expensive hotel lobby.

It is non-linear, which makes it so interesting. It is somewhat floral, but also slightly woody.

Overall very well balanced.

So disappointed as a father can be
It’s been a while since I sniffed New York at Breuninger and for some reason, I noted it down in my mental "Must have" list.

Now that I wanted to get the fragrance, I tried the sample again. I have no idea what I found so great about it, but none of that is present here anymore.

The opening is fruity fresh, but the top notes are so piercingly unpleasant that you want to wash it off your arm immediately. In the drydown, it becomes quieter, but not better. I also wouldn't know for which occasions one could wear it; overall, it strikes me as a sad fruit platter from a place that needs to be rescued by Rosin's restaurant.
