An expensive pleasure
Elysium by Roja Parfums presents itself as a fresh and citrusy fragrance that immediately invigorates. Although the fragrance pyramid of the perfume has a seemingly endless list of notes, in reality I smell a lively blend of lemon and grapefruit that clearly dominates, accompanied by a subtle hint of spices and warm woody notes. I find this fragrance to be the perfect companion for a warm summer's day with a walk in the countryside.

A small downer in this otherwise refreshing experience is the longevity. Given the price you pay for Roja Parfums, the longevity of the fragrance on the skin is unfortunately only mediocre.

Nevertheless, anyone looking for a refreshing, citrusy-woody fragrance for everyday wear that comes with a certain elegance could find a new favorite in Elysium.

Does what it should
When I tested a sample of Initio Side effect, I knew that I absolutely needed this fragrance. At 270€ per 90ml, I naturally thought twice about buying the fragrance. That's why I first gave the After effect a chance. And what can I say? The fragrance smells surprisingly similar to the original. However, I did notice a few differences.
1. In the original, you can smell a strong rum note immediately after spraying it on, which then fades as the fragrance progresses and the sweetness of the vanilla and saffron comes to the fore. The After Effect smells right from the start, just as the Side Effect only smells after a few hours.
2. The longevity leaves a lot to be desired. With the original, I can still clearly smell the fragrance after 12 hours. Unfortunately, the after effect fades after 2-4 hours.

Conclusion: For the price, the after effect is definitely worth it. However, if you want a fragrance that develops over time and want to smell the scent all day long, you can't avoid the original.
