After Effect French Avenue

This is 90% the same as Side Effect. Keeps that same tobacco, rum, saffron gummy bear sweetness vibe of the original.

Now It is missing a little bit of that quality and depth which is to be expected of dupes. But for the price this is very close and worth picking up.

Also performs very well if you let is macerate a month or two. I still like the subtleness of the original. Where its projects and lasts but not too much. But if you felt the OG was too weak then get this one, spray it, put it back in the box and let it age a month or two and you'll love it.

Another banger from the House of French Avenue

The Rum note here for me is very well done and blended well with the tobacco for an edge of masculinity and paired with strong oriental spiciness from saffron making it very niche and spicy-sweet in a non-gourmand way. The cinnamon makes it smooth on the opening and disappears after, leaving a very slight rum note and smooth sandalwood skin scent. The sandalwood doesn't have too much depth, however.
Projects very strong in the first 30mins and then moderate projection for up to 3 hours before becoming a faint sandalwood skin scent.
If Side Effect smells like a refined and better performance version of this, I am sure it is worth it on discounters.

Definitely a situational fragrance though, I wear it for social group gatherings in the colder evenings. I will conclude by saying that I might not love this fragrance, but I do like it and it does get a positive reception from others. It's sweet and boozy in a different way than other boozy fragrances who all go for the gourmand route.

This is a great dupe. It does lack longevity and village, but that’s to be expected. I will simply have to spray more than usual lol. Plus I’m used to beast mode fragrances- so that might be why I think this!
I love the boozy aspect and how deep it is. This will be a great fall fragrance and will most likely mature to be more long lasting as well!

When I first got this, I can't lie it was awful. It smelled like the fake vinyl/plastic cushions at a shitty diner (or for me, they particularly smelled like the plastic seats in the waiting room at my childhood dentist- 1:1, teleported me back there in an instant).

However, whether or not you believe in "maturation"- after a few months the plastic smell is totally gone. It smells very sweet, boozy, and calming. Not for everyone. Admittedly, not for me, either; but it is nice on a cool evening.

This is a great dupe for Initio Side Effect, I’d say they’re 90% similar. Deeply boozy, with great tobacco and rum notes that make it sirupy sweet. It’s beautiful for a date night or maybe a winter weekend at home. I personally wouldn’t wear this to the office, for that it’s a bit too boozy and sultry, it’s more suitable for a date night.
