The Rose That Enchants You
Well, here it is. This one sample among over 30 different ones that I received when I dove into the world of niche fragrances. Time and again, I pondered which scent fascinated me the most - and right from the first test on my hand, it was clear: Opera is something truly special.

When I applied it one morning and felt the enormous impact of this beautiful rose scent throughout the day, the decision was made. Opera must come home with me. No decant, no 50 ml - if anything, then straight to the 100 ml.

Said, done, bought, sprayed - and boom. Like a punch in the face, something completely different than the sample suddenly hits me. Not worse - but much, much more beautiful and intense than I could have ever imagined. A sweet, extremely noble rose scent that immediately commands presence.
Me as a man? Rose? Um… yeahhhh. Absolutely. For me, it’s completely unisex - equally wearable by both women and men.

In the drydown, which in my opinion takes quite a while to develop, it becomes even creamier and rounder. On top of that, there’s this incredible performance: It projects on me all day and has immense power. Longevity and sillage are more than sufficient - for me, Opera ranks among the best fragrances I currently own.

I simply love Opera. This combination of nobility, sweetness, and impact is an absolute dream. Additionally, it layers excellently - especially with darker, possibly even oud-like scents. Even with real “powerhouses” like Vendetta, the layering works surprisingly well.

My absolute recommendation - whether man or woman.
Blind buy? Totally possible.

Pineapple in a Bottle
If you like Aventus and are looking for a solid alternative, you are definitely in the right place. Unfortunately, I have to say that when I tried to compensate for the slightly shorter longevity with more sprays, I got a severe headache - probably due to the high alcohol content. So: definitely do not overspray

The pineapple really kicks in at the beginning. Once it calms down a bit, the scent becomes very citrusy and smoky. So, anyone expecting a 1:1 Aventus right from the opening will be disappointed at first.

But: As soon as it reaches the drydown, things look different - Aventus says hello. It really takes its time, but with a little patience and without overdoing it with the spraying, you will definitely enjoy it.

I have also often read that the EDP comes even closer to the original - based on this impression, I can well imagine that it is true. Nevertheless: For the price, it's really top-notch.

Another Rossa
What can I say - I think the entire line is simply fantastic. Since I have loved the original for many years, I eventually dared to try the other versions. Besides the Black, the Sport is one of the best in the line for me.

It comes very close to the standard scent, but feels a bit fresher and lighter - in my opinion, just right. Especially suitable when you are heading to or coming from the gym and don’t want to overwhelm your open pores right away.

Definitely a very successful all-rounder for everyday use as well. Not intrusive, pleasantly present, and therefore perfect for work or really any other situation.

For me, it’s clearly a blind buy recommendation.

One of my first designer fragrances in 2010
When I started with perfume back then, it was mostly a Cool Water or a scent from the drugstore. For my 18th birthday, I was gifted Prada Luna Rossa - and this very bottle has been at my home ever since.

I have now carried it from apartment to apartment for 16 years, and it is still not empty. A little spritz of this wonderful fragrance is still left, and I will cherish this bottle for many years to come. It was my first "high-quality" perfume and holds a very special place in my heart.

As for the scent itself, there isn't much to say since it remains very consistent. What I can say is: It is an absolute knockout. Hardly any other fragrance has brought me so many compliments. Everyone in the room notices it - and in a consistently positive way.

For me, Prada Luna Rossa remains an absolute highlight, a fragrance that I will always own and wear again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a daily scent for any situation - whether it's the office, industry, going out, clubbing, dinner, or a date. It simply has everything a good everyday fragrance needs.

I still own the version from 2010, before the L’Oréal takeover. I have also smelled the new version and couldn't find any significant difference. For me, this fragrance will remain forever.

Very well-made alternative!
For the price, I have to say, one of the best alternatives I know. I probably don't need to mention which original I'm talking about - the beautiful bottle says it all ;)

As for the scent itself: I find this DNA simply incredibly successful. Dark oud, combined with a pleasant, slightly fresh note that makes it very wearable. Just right for me.

Even my wife, who usually isn't into "stinkers," is completely relaxed about this one and really likes it on me - which says a lot for oud fragrances.

So, for anyone looking to slowly ease into oud or searching for a strong alternative at a good price, this is definitely a great choice. Clear recommendation.
