Super DNA
In my search for the one fragrance that was made for me, I came across this warm, soft and round vanilla amber scent. I had ordered a test set from Laurent Mazone. After the samples had disappeared unnoticed in the drawer for a while, I tested Ambre Bohème by chance and Boom had to order it straight away. I've been wearing it regularly for about a year now and it feels great. Cuddly and warm, gentle and unobtrusive. I spray it on most evenings. LM perfumes are really unique and have a language all of their own. Really great, a super DNA.
But is it the one for me? Well, it doesn't stop me from adding to my collection, even though it's definitely one of my favorites.

Jo Malone's Rose Garden
How I came to this cologne Intense, I still know exactly. Nachedem me a Tinder date has given the recommendation fragrances from
the house of Jo Malone to test I ran a few days later by chance over the Hackescher market. There you can find in the
Rosenthaler Street a concept store of the perfumer. I grabbed a tester and walked further in the direction of Neue Schönhauser.
Constantly I had to smell this tester. I was immediately under the spell and ran or floated as if on - fragrance clouds.

The scent is quite simple. A rich damask rose that immediately conquers the nose with its full, rich aroma and does not let go.
Another rose fragrance?
What cannot be overstated is how classy this rose is. I have never smelled such a quality!
On me it has a touching effect, cools me down and conjures
a gentle smile on my face. The strong, lovely rose dominates the experience from the opening to the end. Where the end is not reached before 6 hours
is. Also, the fragrance wants to be discreetly applied, otherwise it takes up too much space. 1,2, maximum 3 sprays are already enough, although you actually want to bathe in it.

Shortly after the strong opening, the oud begins to play with the rose. Bright, sweet and fine. After a few hours leaves with me the rose
decreases and the oud comes out more clearly. The play of the two notes changes, but continues.

The praline certainly adds to the sweet gourmandness of the rose. The clove announces itself only here and there, I take
they do not consciously perceive.

I love this fragrance for being so full, clear and classy. Its directness and simplicity is what makes it stand out. Have added it to my small collection, but wear it only
very rarely. It is fragrance that I love to smell, but not necessarily on me. He is clearly too feminine for me.
In my opinion, however, he can also not wear every woman. Such a simple,
but refined fragrance fits a multi-layered woman. Nothing for my Tinder date.

Oh, no! Not another blind buy!
After I have purchased 4 others from the series Les Absolues d'Orient, I struck at Encens
Mythique blindly. The name sounds absolutely fantastich. The others are so cool, I order blind!

Ouch!!
Happens yes rarely that I wash off a fragrance. But with this it went no other way.

I now have a considerable collection of blind buy fails. Respect. Actually, that's where my little collection started. See my review of Cipresso die Toscana by AdP, which I called an old man's f*rz. This one has now met its match. Encens Mythique is a fine ladies' f*rz, but moist!

Really, I can laugh about it and somehow the circle of my fragrance journey without a ticket closes here. From now on, no more blindbuys! Really!

You just can't guess it! Every single ingredient in this scent I like. Rose, vetiver, amber and what else is in there. But what a punch comes out of it! No longer festive!

And as always to all lovers of this création (or creature): No disrespect! Must be taken sportingly.

Would not know who I can recommend the, but absolutely test before!

The secret of the bog
Not without reason I have chosen Enre Noir to review a perfume for the first time
second time to review.
I just came from the forest, it's been raining for days. In the profile of my shoes
has accumulated moss, bark, old leaves and all sorts of mud. The footprints run from the heavy steel entrance door of my forest hut to the couch. I slip off the heavy soaked raincoat and add some logs to my fireplace. Outside it is already long dark and the rain pattering in thick drops against the windows.

For weeks I have seen no one. But I hear the howling of the wolves out there. Dark shadows pass my window - a flash of lightning illuminates the night. There I see him quite clearly! The gravedigger Encre Noir stands directly at my window and stares at me - in his right hand an axe. His victims he throws into bog -

People quite honestly - the story is true! If you want to know how the bog smells, you only have to buy a flacon Enre Noir. The resembles a tombstone not for nothing!

No disappointment
Tested in the store and almost immediately taken, because the store detective had break. No, because I was so fascinated by the top note! Wild honey, ginger, butter. It just smells delicious. Somehow, I also immediately thought of oud, probably because I liked the name "The Oud Affair" so much too. In fact, I'm like many in that the oud is hard to detect even upon closer sniffing.

By mistake, I sprayed some on my sleeve and about 2 hours later I had noticed a completely different scent. I smell and smell and miss the honey. And smell and finally get it: Tobacco Vanilla! Lighter, more subtle though. More wearable if I may say so. That's quite a remarkable transformation!

Really a sophisticated alternative to Tobacco Vanilla or Mugler's Havane. I really like smelling this fragrance. The quality also lives up to the price. Something special can not be said, however, because it is too similar to the two above but. Also, the bottle, which looks so bulky, heavy and valuable in the pictures, it is not in real. The glass is quite thin and the plastic lid somehow also seems slightly fragile.

Nevertheless, no disappointment. A great perfume house, high-quality content and so bad looks the bottle with the stylish inscription also again not. Who is looking for tobacco and vanilla with a special opening and stands on niche, which will me "The Oud Affair" very happy.

In conclusion: I prefer to write only about the fragrances that I own myself and have worn over a long period of time and on different occasions. To be honest, it also annoys me when some sniffs briefly at a test strip and then thinks to be able to judge a fragrance immediately. However, since hardly anything has been written about "The Oud Affair", I hope to have given those who are interested a few clues. Vilhelm Pafümerie is not offered, after all, in every miller.

At the very end: The department store detective came then nevertheless faster again, than I could sink the thing in the bag. No! I love vanilla and the scent is really wonderful, but personally I do not want to smell like vanilla, which is why this Vilhelm has not made it into my collection. Maybe it will come in the future, or another creation by Jerome Epinette, who gave me a great summer freshie with Cèdre Atlas and also knows how to convince with "The Oud Affair"
