Falling in love quietly
.. Let's go for a walk among the olive groves, eat pistachios and get to know each other. Barefoot up the hill. Nature, how Mediterranean and beautiful you are. At the top, we sit down on the grass under your trees. You tickle us under our feet. The sun tickles my nose and you make me dream. Secret, first love - you know it. I fall in love - quietly - with you.

For me, Un Jardin à Cythère wonderfully captures that feeling of happiness when you fall in love for the first time and haven't told anyone yet. Not even the chosen one.

For me, this is a very sophisticated fragrance that I would love to wear. It has something loving about it, suitable for leisure, for a date or even for work, for smart businesswomen or businessmen, without being busy. In the drydown, I only perceive olive and pistachio, in very natural Hermes style.

An absolute "mais oui" for me.

So let's go for a walk among the olive groves, eat pistachios and get to know each other.

Sing me the song of the scent
This fragrance is absolutely special and I have never smelled anything like it as a perfume before.

It starts like Sanbitter. With tingling carbonic acid, with this pleasantly sweet, bitter impact. I think I can sip it..

When the hazelnut joins in, my olfactory heart rejoices, because I love nuts in perfumes. The hazelnut is strongly represented, but the floral twists it in a direction that I don't really like. Then I really smell that old, dusty doll's head with the jingling googly eyes. And for a brief moment, it makes me feel really queasy... uff... ;-P I see dusty attics... a white, Latina wall cupboard with painted details in lime green and - this dark blonde curly-haired doll with a yellowed face, red cheeks and that very smell on its head. The smell is somewhat softened by the burnt wood, which makes the fragrance experience more pleasant again. The drydown is very gentle, nostalgic even.

Now I'm on the pampas, incense lends the landscape an almost infinite expanse. I find myself in the middle of the movie "Play me the song of death" in front of this creaky wooden house with this doll in my arms and melancholy in my heart. That's exactly how Adios Pampamia smells to me. Ennio Morricone's music also goes perfectly with it. The wearer of the fragrance would of course be Claudia Cardinale, alias Jill McBain.

I am enchanted by the scent of Adios Pampamia and somewhat disturbed at the same time. It's very well done and gives the woman wearing it a lot of nostalgia, depth and wistfulness. Ennio Morricone can do this feeling, Tango Argentino has always had it and so does Adiós Pampamia by La Martina.

I think a woman needs courage to wear this fragrance, even though it is rather light and delicate. But in a very special way.

Life's good, Britty.
The fragrance starts with ripe pears and a lime with peel. As if it had been picked fresh from the tree. The fragrance notes are very well matched here.
The green almond soon comes through, which I really like in this fragrance. To my delight, it stays until the end.

The wild aroma party that opens up in the heart between pear, peony, dragée and finally amber gives me a headache, to be honest. Vanilla hides behind the almond because it is shy.

The fact that Brit calms down from its initial exuberance in the drydown is to the fragrance's credit. It's as if Burberry has captured Brit's exuberance and calmed her down with an excellent drydown. This is called Mahogany. With it, the fragrance makes sense to me for the first time. Now Brit seems tidy, mature, radiates security, objectivity, it is also a little dry - and can of course be sophisticated - very British, in fact.

You shouldn't expect anything young or playful from this fragrance - it is far too happy to show its class in a restrained way. Those who like it the British way will be happy with Brit. Those looking for
Non-committal, should rather reach for another fragrance.

This British lady wearing Brit is resting comfortably in a rocking chair, her gaze pensively directed towards her faithful friend. She is absolutely enjoying the way her dachshund is warming itself gratefully at her feet.

Britty, her darling, gives her a faithful look, nudges her tenderly and earns her the most loving smile. Her words promise: "Life's good, Britty. Life's good."

Sweet, bright, spicy and sexy
I always wear this fragrance when I want to look a bit confident and sexy. It smells really quite sweet, creamy and Christmassy, but also bright, seductive and interesting. I feel comfortable wearing it on stage, but could never wear it in everyday life because it would be a touch too sexy for me. High heels, leather, confidence, maybe even rocking. I like it a lot, but I can never underestimate its impact. It's not overbearing, but it's already seductive. It lights up its wearer confidence and sexiness. If I want to radiate this too, I feel very comfortable with this perfume.

Rosy fragrance journey in the dewy spring morning
No rose fragrance has been able to convince me as Pivoine Flora. He just seems so natural and friendly, without the heaviness of deep red roses in itself to take up or to be fresh, as we know them from Rose Fraiche of Yves Rocher,

It feels like being transported to a young, sun-drenched spring morning, perhaps in the middle of a country garden where there are cottages, in the south of England.

As Pivoine Flora leads me under those rose arches, it gifts me with subtle woody notes, they make the scent complete for me. The warm sandalwood, along with the peonies, I gently place outside my window and my roses still smell as if I had just separated them with secateurs..

Nothing separates me from my scented happiness, from Pivoine Flora. Although... at L'Occitane to visit, the Parfuma kindly pointed out to me that my favorite rose fragrance will soon be discontinued.... :') i regretted it, but L'Occitane is always creating new fragrances to replace existing fragrance creations.

Pivoine Flora reminds me of Fenjal's rose-scented shower cream. I hope this one stays with us!
