That's incredible how the smoky profile of a scent can be perceived so differently by people.
Reading around I got the impression that Bois d'Ascese was so harsh and stuffy and instead I found a nice fragrance where the smoke paints a beautiful picture you are going to plunge in.
If at the beginning it smells like a tobacco leaf handcrafted for the pleasure of human beings, then it becomes more pure and linked to a natural environment like a walk in forest breathing air that passed through a bonfire far away.
I found this scent completely wearable and with a distinctive character.

Sometime I can link the name of the fragrance with its scent. Arso, that means burned, is going to bring you in a centuries-old pine tree forest not at all burned but releasing a resinous and balsamic scent. You will be able to appreciate all the different scents that a conifer can give from the greener to the resinous ones a little bit bitter and sticky. I can't feel any smoky or burned aspect perhaps because the balsamic note prevails over everything. This is a good scent but I'm bound to say that it lacks a bit in evolution. A little bit expensive for its simplicity but absolutely well done and with a good longevity.

Talking about the scent I think that Quentin Bisch simplified all his previous creation cleaning up non-essential nuances and giving us a perfect and easy to wear fragrance.
A woody and fresh-spicy touch with a pinch of aromaticity that is going to stay with us for a good length.
It is simply perfect in any occasion a great passe-partout both for work time and for leisure.
