If not for the company status, this would be considered a mediocre smelling fragrance. People just see the name "Hermès" and are instantly convicted about the greatness of the perfume.
Okay, now few words about the scent itself:
It opens with a bitter orange and some woods in the background.
Then the orange starts to dissapear and the only thing you can smell is the vetiver mixed with pepper. In this case it smells like a conifer, which I do not consider anything but dissapointing and... just not nice.

This scent is elegant, masculine and just magnificent. However the Dior Homme line (the original scents) for me is some kind of a joke. Dior Homme Original and Dior Homme Intense smell like a baby powder mixed with cocoa - not manly at all. Better name for the original scents would be "Dior Unisex".
I know that people are used to those original scents, but I do not understand what would they expect from the new 2020 version. The same scent or what? It would be extremely boring if you ask me. Anyway, the 2020 version is a fragrance on its own and it is a great scent.
