Lavender goddess kissed by vanilla
Luckily I was allowed to test the Goddess Intense, I got such a small tester, actually I didn't find it that interesting. I thought of a sweet, shallow fragrance, but this goddess is
not shallow, she is powerful! The opening is herbaceous,
lavendery, not that soapy lavender, but fresh
picked green spicy wild lavender. Later on, you can
still perceive it. It hovers over smoky vanilla. No
Baking vanilla, no powdered sugar, sweet and increasingly creamy
in the dry down, but far from mild and tame
The goddess takes you on a journey into your innermost being, she
gives you creamy security and lavender calm, but
also this green earthy energy to rise again
from the sinking and face the world reinvented
Conclusion: I love this wild, earthy, woody, creamy, airy,
heavy herbal vanilla goddess very much!
By the way: the perfume is refillable, the first from
Burberry that is available as a refill. I think that's good.

What happened?
*Pufffffffff* it went and I was standing in a pear-soapy strawberry cloud that almost took my breath away.
I don't know how that could have happened. I just pressed on a harmless-looking pump spray head and I drowned in this thick cloud of sweetness! Uff....okay, first try not to pass out. I panted for air and waited for the fresh and airy-sounding heart note to rescue me from the pear soap...
...I survived and got extremely sugared rose. Wow. That wasn't a fresh rose, that was heavy, sugared oriental rose water stirred into syrup.... a fresh rose scent also emerged in the background and I was still gasping for air.
...when I regained consciousness, I must have left the syrupy rose garden unnoticed by me. This intense fever dream of sugar, fruit and candied roses was now a caramelly, popcorny note that accompanied me on my way through a light-flooded, slightly spicy, sun-drenched summer forest into reality.
Madness.
Very intense, almost headache-inducingly powerful, but beautiful!
Let's see how my 2nd Empress trip turns out...
I don't recognize the similarity to Miss Dior Cherie. Not the lightness, not that elfin delicacy. Empress is formidable, more like Galadriel than Tinkerbell. Empress is strong and self-confident and powerful.
....

Innocent with a twist
She is so sweet and innocent, her smile like fresh jasmine.
She stands in front of the mirror with her sandalwood hair loose in a vanilla-colored, unagitated, elegant silk dress.
Clean, yet somehow romantic and everything about her is somehow beige, gold, cream and vanilla.
She wants to be wild today! Leopard pumps on! She shakes her shiny, flowing mane and grins mischievously into the mirror from behind a strand of hair...uh...hm...maybe not so wild after all! She takes her pumps off again.
She arranges her hair and combs it into a sleek ponytail. She stands there as sweet as a date. Pear date caramel cream. Only her smile sometimes flashes a little wicked patchouli...she is good, innocent and charming...with that certain something that only still waters possess.
Golden, elegant, unagitated fragrance with a hint of woody extravagance.

Rough, wild, free, sensual - Fuerteventura
This fragrance has now made me experience a first. My first review of a perfume.
I was actually looking for a dupe for my favorite, discontinued perfume, which smelled deliciously of popcorn, cotton candy and fresh strawberries. I rummaged through mountains of reviews until I came across the name "Baccarat Rouge" in one of them. Everyone would be wearing it now, mainstream, the big hype would be over, but it would smell cotton candy.
Hm.
So I googled, did some research...felt the price was too high for me...but found a sample to buy. Thought about it three more times and ordered.
The sample arrived, was unpacked, sprayed on and everything I had read was forgotten. The world around me too. This fragrance was nowhere near what I was expecting, not what I was looking for, but it found me and is now mine. I have fallen in love!
The first sniff amazed me with its wild astringency. This was immediately followed by a free, peaceful and radiant sweetness, then a forgettable warmth, a deep calm that is occasionally interrupted by an ozony, fresh scent and again by this sweetness!
Memorably, this scent took me back to the barren beach of Fuerteventura. The steady coastal wind blows through my hair, bringing with it the salty smell of sea spray. The warmth of the sun makes the fine desert sand smell fragrant and, in combination with the flotsam and the olive trees of the island, creates a tangy scent that mixes with the soft, sweet smell of beach lilacs. The scent is overwhelmingly all-encompassing, everlasting, strong and yet gentle. It is sun on the skin, warmth, salt in the hair and sand on the feet, seawater and delicate flowers.
Longing, loneliness, sensuality, passion... anyone who has ever been to Fuerteventura can immediately recognize the contradictory feelings, the island's turmoil between gentle and rough, wild and tame, lonely and sociable in this fragrance.
What a strangely complicated, contradictory and yet calming composition! I am far from tired of this fragrance.
