Alien is cheating on us ...no Jasmine ..? Yes, yes
Alien Fusion is a skillful flanker in my opinion. An (imagined) jasmine fuses with ginger and orange blossom.
Unfortunately, I don't smell any cinnamon, but I do get a hint of ginger ...it also reminds me a bit of Alien essence Absolue.
What I find great is that Mugler has managed to create an Alien without jasmine that still exhibits the typical DNA of Alien and smells very jasmine-heavy! Either this is due to good marketing or it shows how well Mugler can handle synthetic materials so that we still get the illusion of real jasmine even though there is no jasmine in it !=:) A very successful creamy blend: I can also sniff a bit of tuberose, the combination of tuberose and orange blossom gives me the spicy creaminess and floral notes. Great longevity and sillage as usual!
A worthy flanker just to my nose and not least because of the beautiful bottle!

zesty salty ambered freshness
I usually hardly like any aquatic-sounding perfume. ..That's why this one is already worth a comment.
The sea salts that settle on mossy rocks are very well captured here. ! The top note feels exactly like the bottle looks. ! At first, I think oh. ..No cool water effect please. ..but the synthetic impression dissipates after 20 minutes and gives way to deep - clean ambered freshness! !!@ I now smell a bit of fresh salad cucumber on salted pretzel! It becomes deeper, warmer, and more musky.
Now, it’s certainly not groundbreaking news, but I find it uplifting and that’s always a good buying argument for me!
After 4 hours, my arm still smells fresh-salty and slightly sweet. .wonderful for spring in the air. .So the 30ml bottle was allowed to move in and just the sight of it makes my heart leap...Springtime in the air! ! @??? A solid 8 from me ..
But as always: test it first! !@

Dedication to Sensory Pleasure...
The discovery of the year 2013 HEDONIST, Golden Beauty
This perfume leaves me speechless…at least for now! :=)
What a shiver..of golden honey, of sun rays, a glass of rum with ice, the finest pipe tobacco.
Yes, all the listed notes are present, but it would be dull to simply mention them..
The overall impression is incredibly positive, warm, sensual, caressing, gourmand, intense. Creamy, seductive, like a day on a Hawaiian beach.
The scent is very complex, many layers unfold slowly. One is, so to speak, swimming on layers of various flowers, fruits, honey, and vanilla.
The peach and orange blossom are very dominant in the top note, but they are quickly immersed in bright yellow honey, vanilla pods, and thick, viscous rum.
Then the tobacco note, such a fine (unlit) fresh tobacco, not too intense, gentle and distant.
A delight for the senses, pure radiant joy of life. The joy of being itself. To stand by one's longing (addiction) :=)
This composition outshines everything I have ever smelled in this direction - Tobacco Vanille? Rough and simplistic in comparison.. The combination of the notes ensures that, I have found nothing like it..
Ah, I could rave about this scent for hours. Clearly THE discovery of 2013 so far for me..even though I am from the rose-iris-white flower faction!!!
The price is of course initially daunting: 139,- for 45ml of this little potion…well, I have no regrets, really hedonistic, right? :=)
-The bottle is also a dream, as is the packaging (although I am generally very little interested in bottles)
Lovers of Frapin's beautiful cognac scents should definitely test HEDONIST, the rum note here is fabulous!!

Woody-fruity seduction from the master
It must originate from the handwriting of a truly great perfumer to break the chain of thousands of uniform "Floral-Fruity" scents.
A fruity floral perfume from CARVEN??
And then also from the grand master Francis K.?
THIS has to be experienced!!!
With the first spray, I immediately think: Oh no, not another one??
But but... let’s not be so hasty with quick judgments.:o)
Absolutely essential: Do NOT test the scent on paper, but directly on the skin or on clothing!
So after this first (somewhat expected) ordinary fresh-fruity impression (apricot, mandarin....) I stroll a bit bored to test other perfumes.
After a few more tests and conversations with the saleswoman, I sniff again at my wrist with Carven Le Parfum.
#
A woody warm sweet and floral scent surprisingly emerges! I can clearly smell ylang, hyacinth, and jasmine.
A bit later, the base of sandalwood and patchouli adds depth and "saves" the perfume from the common floral-fruity finish. It's hard to describe, but the scent has that certain something! (Patchouli-sandalwood with fruits??-.o)
The base comes particularly beautifully to life on clothing and hair! I feel downright French, young, and chicly perfumed!:o)
On rainy, cold days like today, the scent caresses me on my fleece sweater! Warm, creamy-floral-apricot-woody. That's how I would describe it now.
The scent lasts a very long time on clothing and hair, and on my skin, it lasts a good 5-6 hours.
Anyone who enjoys white blooming flowers with woody-fruity depth should definitely test Le Carven!

Shalimar Fine-Tuning
This Shalimar flanker really caught me!
I fell in love with "La Mexique" right away!! The opening is fresh and lemony thanks to the opoponax, and the iris is right there. It comes across in La Mexique as buttery and earthy, definitely not carrot-like.
The iris, caramel, and chocolate remind me of L Instant de Guerlain Extreme without its woody-spicy notes..
I perceive the chocolate note more as creamy whole milk, not the bitter cocoa note of dark chocolate.
It is powdery and soft, gourmand and delicate. That's why I find it very feminine. All the harsh elements have been removed; the incense is just a fine smoky veil, and I have to struggle to even sniff it out. All "animalic" components have also disappeared. Therefore, the sillage is rather moderate. You really have to spray generously to attract the attention of those around you :=)
The vanilla comes across as softly sweet and powdery.. it feels like it has melted with warm caramel.
For me, it's a finely tuned Shalimar.
Not a predatory civet cat, but a playful, fluffy flat-nosed kitten rolling in forest spring soil. It would love to nibble on a bowl of fresh creamy drinking chocolate with caramel flavor, but that's reserved for the lady :=)
The longevity is very good. The next morning, I can still perceive a veil of powdery iris-caramel.
In contrast to Shalimar Initial and Initial L Eau (which Mexique has no resemblance to), you can still recognize the original Shalimar scent (EDP) well in La Mexique.
It's impossible not to fall for it! :=)
Lovers of Eau de Shalimar and Shalimar Legere should definitely give this a sniff, as well as fans of light fluffy gourmands.
