White florals laced with clary sage, backed by sweet tonka beans
To be completely honest, I wasn't expecting much since I chose this one as a filler to get the required number of decants for my custom discovery set. Nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised.
The beginning is a bit more muddled and discrete than what I thought it'd be which is why I want to test it out again. I never got any of the citrus fruit, but I did get a subtle and evanescent note of clary sage, which was particularly pretty, though very fleeting. I get a creamy, floral and almost fresh jasmine. It's pleasant and gentle enough. Soon after, I start getting a powdery and creamy tonka note, followed with a slightly fresh and spicy ambrette kind of vibe. Drydown becomes vanilla sweet and somewhere deep down I start getting the note of cedar and some muskiness. The drydown does shift between smelling sweet and smelling like you just slathered on a very expensive and luxurious body cream / body butter.
A very lovely white floral and tonka bean kind of fragrance. Clary sage adds a subtle difference to the fragrance, which was very nice. I don't get people who are saying this is a tropical fragrance. I don't get any tropical aspects from it. If you want tropical from Memo Paris, you'll be better served with Tamarindo. This one is on the more gentle side and is pretty inoffensive for many type of situations so I do recommend it. There might be other similar (and less expensive) options though since I did have the feeling I had already smelled those accord somwhere. Try before you buy!
