The Parisian niche perfume house Rania J presents "Samar Kand", a new unisex fragrance that olfactorily captures the cultural significance and history of Samarkand.

The opening is based on a fresh citrus accord of bergamot and orange. In the heart, osmanthus, rose geranium, blackcurrant and ylang-ylang meet and combine to create a fruity-floral center. The base carries the fragrance with a warm blend of amber, caramel, musk, oud, patchouli, sandalwood and tonka bean, which provides a sweet depth and creaminess.

The inspiration: a city of exchange

The composition of "Samar Kand" was created by Rania Jouaneh herself. Her inspiration: Samarkand - one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and once a central hub on the Silk Road. Traders, travelers and scholars from China, India, Persia, the Arab countries and Europe met here. Due to the constant exchange, Samarkand developed into a melting pot of cultures and religions.
