The German Niche Label Phil Julian Debuts With "Fovere" - An Ode to Home

The focus of Phil Julian is on the art of perfumery. To kick things off, the German niche label is presenting its first unisex fragrance: "Fovere", a creation by Christian Carbonnel.

An amber fragrance that embodies home and security

"Fovere" is an interplay of spicy, sweet and creamy, airy notes. The top note opens with the sparkling freshness of bergamot and the spicy pungency of ginger, accompanied by a warm hint of rum and calming lavender nuances. In the center, sensual amber, delicate jasmine, earthy patchouli and the smoky accent of tobacco come together, while cedarwood provides a striking, woody dimension. The base note rounds off the fragrance with a creamy blend of sandalwood, musk, tonka bean and vanilla, giving it a warm, enveloping depth.

The fragrance is inspired by Heidelberg, the hometown of label founder Phil Julian - a place full of personal memories. Together with the Spanish master perfumer Christian Carbonnel - known as Chris Maurice - he did not want to interpret the city itself olfactorily, but rather capture the feelings he associates with it: Familiarity, security and warmth.

fovere' is not an olfactory image of Heidelberg. Rather, it is an emotional homage to what I associate with home - to the feeling of having arrived. To friendships, memories and the quiet warmth that carries you.

The name itself, derived from Latin, means "to warm, embrace, protect" - a symbol for the enveloping and inviting composition of the fragrance.

The first edition of "Fovere" is limited to 1,000 flacons and is handmade in Italy.
