Sickeningly sweet Froot Loops
I was so excited to try this scent, but what a let down! All it smells like (especially in the dry down) is a bowl of soggy Froot Loops cereal left out on the counter with milk. It's a very childish scent, and in my opinion, far too sweet (and that's saying something, because I quite like sweet perfumes).

As far as gourmands go, there are so many better ones out there. Although I will say, my husband did like this on me. But even my daughter (14 years old) found this sickeningly sweet and synthetic. I got it during my ScentBird subscription (which I have since cancelled). I would not recommend this at all, unless you're going for a diabetes-inducing sweet scent. In that case, spray on!

Kind of one-dimensional and basic
This is a scent that I would have worn between the ages of 16-25. It's happy, pretty, joyful, sweet. But it's not elegant, classy or upmarket at all. And there's nothing wrong with that. But I think you can find so many others like that for cheaper, in body mist form. However, I think this is an amazing perfume to start with for a young woman who is just getting into perfumes and starting her collection and wants to dip her toe with something linear and simple but still very pleasant.

I have a small amount of this left and I will use it and enjoy it, however, the lasting power is really, really poor. I sprayed it on my clothes AND myself and two hours later, I could not smell it (nor could others, so I didn't go nose blind to it!).

Gorgeous scent with NO lasting power
I bought this scent a few weeks ago because I ran out of my old signature scent (YSL Mon Paris) and wanted something similar but a bit more grown up. I was so pleasantly surprised by this. For some reason, I hadn't tried any Chanel perfumes before (I was worried that they were very old-fashioned). I was waffling between getting this and Chance Eau Splendide. But I chose this.

Here's the thing--I absolutely LOVE this scent. It's sweet, feminine, classy, elegant and bright. It's extroverted without being in your face, bubbly without being saccharine. But almost two weeks later, and the bottle is half gone because this has no staying power at all. To have it last even into the afternoon, I have to spray down my clothes AND myself. And even then, I can never get it to last all day.

For this reason, I won't repurchase, but this scent still uplifts my mood and makes me feel beautiful, so I will enjoy it for now.

The most pretty, feminine rose
I am so blown away by this! I cannot believe that a body spray from Bath & Body Works is even better than Delina. Why? Because this LASTS. I've heard people say it doesn't. But I sprayed it on my pyjamas last night and I could still smell it when I woke up this morning.

It's such a pretty, soft, feminine rose. Not old lady, not overly powdery, just tender, sweet, and gentle. This is what I would wear when I'm writing my historical fiction series that has a lot of romance in it. Or on a daytime date when I want to feel pretty and feminine. This is graceful, sweet, and elegant. And the price is out of this world for something so well blended and long lasting!

Fresh-baked blueberry muffins & nostalgia
There are two perfumes I reach for on rainy days -- either L'Ombre dans L'Eau EDP, or this beauty. I find myself drawn more to L'Ombre dans L'Eau in late spring/summer, and this one in early spring/autumn.

This perfume smells like fresh-baked blueberry muffins -- the homemade kind your mom, grandma, auntie or other loving, nurturing female figure in your life would make. For me, this transports me to when I was five or six years old, walking home from school on a rainy day in late September, looking forward to the comfort of my mother and her baking. It is a simple scent that makes you feel simple as well, but in a good way -- like you step back to a simpler time where you can let go of your adult worries and just take life as it comes, enjoying the little things and savouring the sweet moments.

The bottle is gorgeous -- I love that the lid is actually a container for the travel size that comes with it. I regret giving my travel size and lid away! It was so beautiful. But I wanted to share it with a friend so I did.

The only down sides to this perfume is that there's not much strong sillage and it doesn't last long, so I like to spray it on my clothes. It's also not to sweet, which is nice. I don't get the rice notes. Just nice, warm, blueberry muffins -- homemade! Such a comforting scent.
