Buttery biscuit in warm vanilla milk
True to its name, Lait de Biscuit opens with the wonderful scent of a butter biscuit soaked in milk that has been boiled with vanilla beans. So creamy and yummy!

Midway, it develops what appears to be a burnt quality, like that of burnt sugar, which is essentially caramel. It doesn't smell like charcoal though, and helps ensure that this isn't overly linear by giving the creamy biscuit a touch of sweetness and some smoke.

Apart from the appearance of a caramel-like note, there wasn't much development in this fragrance, but that's fine if all you're looking for is a gourmand that is positively delicious and delightful!

Projection was alright, not too strong, but noticeable. It started sitting close to the skin around the 5 hour mark.

A lightly toasted fine French biscuit
I had to try this straight after the Lait de vanille and it just made me smile. This belongs in the Demeter department because it is a truly faithful reproduction of a newly baked biscuit. A fine French patisserie shortbread though, no crude baking here. If this was the intent then the scent photograph is here for the telling. Very amusing as a good example of a perfumers skill. I like Sophies perfumer humour. Good for dieting.

As a perfume?.... each to their own. Cannot fault it though.

Ile Flottante: Meringue Clouds Floating in Creme Anglaise with Caramel
This scent is an excellent way to have a lactose free desert without the associated 3000 calories. I always try to see the positives first. At first whiff, a very specific scent memory came to mind- Demeter's Sweet Cream and Dulce Leche scents layered together. Lait de Biscuit seems milky, creamy, sticky and I am surprised that it is a liquid and not a slow pouring toffee texture. The scent warms up in about 10 minutes to a less synthetic tooth-ache version of vanilla extract with burnt sugar notes. Indeed I agree that there is a slight buttery/butyric nuance to the base. I can not wear fragrances that are this sweet personally, but if you are in the realm of the sweet vanilla cloud scents such as Laurence Dumont's Tendre Madeleine and Vanilla Bourbon, or Lavanilla- Vanilla - you should give this a shot. Followed by a shot of insulin.

office safe gourmand
i would def classify this as a light enough gourmand to wear in an office setting. it’s just a very light, custardy cookie that wears super close to the skin but lasts amazing on clothes. milk tends to go rancid on me, but i’ve had my bottle of Lait de Biscuit for a year and it’s just gotten more buttery, not sour milky. soft, fluffy, and sweet!! definitely sample first

Smells Like Play-Doh
So, I was super excited for Lait de Biscuit since it gets reviews saying it smells like biscuits (and I fell in love with Lait De Vanille) but all I am getting is a Play-Doh vibe from this one. Much stronger than the Play-Doh I get from Dior Hypnotic Poison. Kinda glad it didn't last thirty minutes on me because this would be a scrubber had it lasted any longer. Too bad because I was really looking forward to that caramel note that I never got.

It's a well balanced sweet gourmand. If you like milk scents, it's worth a try.

Too light and too young for me to wear during the day, but my ideal soft bedtime scent. Like a sweet, buttery biscuit with milk.

A lovely fragrance. It is sweet and comforting— fit for the fall and winter seasons. It doesn’t smell synthetic at all, but it’s very light.

Opens with butter cookies, vanilla and caramel that become a darker burnt sugar on the drydown. A feast for gourmands but close to the skin.

Caramel cookies and milk/cream scent, but very little projection. The dry down does something weird on skin, so I prefer it on clothes!

Vanilla butter cookie, great buttery cookie-cereal note with a hint of synthetic that doesn’t bother me. Perfect for smelling like cookies!

Hmmm... another vanilla pudding... on me, Vanilla West Indies in light! Sweet-powdery-vanilla.

Maybe the most delicious vanilla-caramel scent ever, very similar to "Vanille West Indies," but finer, rounder & not so oily. Hmm!
