I wish I loved this one...
because it's unlike anything I've smelled so far*. I am reading all the notes, and I am just nodding in agreement, I can detect each top and heart note listed. It doesn't happen often to me. I don't hate it, but there is something off-putting about it, almost to the point of making my stomach churn. I am testing Burberry Hero on my other hand, and I use it as a relief after each time I inhale this curious creature. I think my nose would've loved it if a sweet note had been added or some of the notes were toned down.

Not a blind buy. If you had any doubt whether this smells like a typical marine scent, let me reassure you that it does not. I also don't think it's suitable for every occasion. You will most probably stand out with this scent and its longevity.

Give it a try, definitely.

*I haven't tried Acqua di Sale, which is what everyone seems to compare Black Sea to

Update: 15 hours later, it's impossible to rinse this demon off. I tried a few times, it's still present.

Like a pretty girl that you'll never have
She instantly captures your attention, she may even bless you with her presence, you might find yourself sharing brief moments with her, but she'll never be yours.

Summer Vibes will never be yours because it simply disappears on a whim. It's a brief encounter at best. We are talking minutes here boys, not hours.

If you like the Light Blue DNA as much as I do, you will regret this fact since it is perhaps the nicest smelling of all of them. I prefer Italian Love, but that one is not similar to other Light Blue flankers. The funny thing is, Summer Vibes is actually quite potent right after you spray it. Just remember, it won't last.

The bottle- oh my gosh. Find me a more beautiful one. I see all those collections their owners like to boast about, but I never see this one on their shelves. Yes, it's not a popular fragrance, but the bottle alone merits being added to your collection. If nothing else, to shatter the monotony of all those boring men's dark, or often tacky gold/silver bottles.

Take this girl's body as a consolation, you won't have her soul. Don't blame yourself, she doesn't have it.

Hm...
I'm not a fan of musk in general, especially the citrus-musk combination. Silver's (supposedly) refreshing character leaves me indifferent. However, I've got a bigger issue with Silver Mountain Water. Or two. Or three.

The worst: I sprayed it a few times over the course of a couple of weeks, and I don't remember how it smells. You know how some perfumes, you smelled them once 10 years ago, and they stick with you for years? Not because of the emotions they invoke, but purely because of their smell? This one... I forget its scent the day after. Now, I would recognize it if we played a test and guess game, but there's something about it that it simply doesn't stick. It really is cold and unusual as it's often described.

Secondly, when I smell the bottle cap, I dig it much more than when I actually spray it.

And finally, it's a really weak scent. I wonder if anyone has tried it 20 years ago? I just can't imagine it being so weak in an era when perfumes lasted longer than today.

I'm genuinely surprised by the widespread appeal of this one. Not because of my personal feelings toward it, but because I don't see any elements that would typically garner mass appeal. In its essence, Silver is supposed to be an acquired taste.

My feelings meander
On first impression, it reminds me of a more user-friendly burnt wooden plank found in Lalique Noire. It's not a smell that I'm crazy about, but it intrigues me. There are other notes mixed in, but I'm not able to recognize them.

The woody scent gradually transitions into something soft and creamy. I swear, one time I smell it, it's just cream, other times it's a balanced blend of woodiness and creaminess. Unfortunately for me, a musky note sneaks in at some point.

In short, it first left me cold, then I was really into it, but finally, the musky note dampens my enthusiasm.

It's definitely one of those subtle perfumes, and yet, it does last. Think of a river flowing slowly through the plains, closer to the end of its course. There are no cascades here.

Yes, but in small doses and sporadically
It's fun to read the reviews here. Our experiences and impressions of perfumes can be so different.

For example, someone wrote this is a masculine coconut. Sure, it can be more "feminine", but I would never use the masculine to describe the coconut here, or Le Beau in general.

Another user wrote that coconut is less marked here compared to the EDT version. I feel it's precisely the opposite. This one is nothing but coconut with a few slices of pineapple.

Instead of "authentic", I'd rather call this coconut synthetic.

What I agree with is that it lingers on clothes for ages. Personally, it's a turnoff for 2 reasons: firstly the perfume itself is very linear, becoming dull after a while. It's very creamy, there's nothing refreshing about it. Secondly, it makes me wonder what chemicals are in it that enable it to last so long on clothes.

I bought a decant and that's enough for me.
