Deep black forests of long forgotten days
Around 900 AD in what is now Norway:

In front of me was a bright blue lake shrouded in thick fog. I could barely make out the opposite shore, but thought I recognized a small settlement. Visibly relieved, hoping for a warm place to sleep and a small meal, I continued my arduous hike through the dense forest. I had been walking through this impenetrable sea of firs and spruces for days, but the end of my journey finally seemed within reach. This forest was unlike any I had ever seen before or would ever see again. Dense, old conifers everywhere I looked. The ground was covered in green moss and the sun rarely made its way through the thicket. I oriented myself along the barely recognizable shoreline of the lake and continued my odyssey. I imagined I could already smell the smoking chimneys of the village, so I was on the right track. Many hours after I first saw the settlement from a distance, the forest slowly thinned out. It couldn't be far now, the anticipation was growing. The smoke in my nose grew stronger and stronger, and I could already make out the village boundary in the distance. After days of martyrdom, I finally left the last tree behind me and the village lay before me, burnt down and deserted.

"If you wanna hang out, you′ve gotta take her out"
If you want to hang out with Matsukita (or more), you have to take her out. She's not satisfied with boring movie nights on the couch or lukewarm food from the local delivery service. Matsukita likes to dress up, visit high-class restaurants, hang out in museums or travel the world to get to know other cultures.

The first time you met her was in a small fishing village on the Italian Riviera. There she was sitting in a chic café under blooming bergamots, drinking a cold mate tea. There, your eyes met briefly and your interest was piqued.
You plucked up all your courage and approached her. At first she seemed uninterested, but a nice, deep conversation soon ensued. From this conversation, you planned an excursion together for the next day. You went to the nearby, beautiful Provence. There you took a long walk through fields of jasmine and picturesque coastal villages. In the evening, your journey took you to a nearby forest, past large fir trees and freshly felled trees. It was there that you really got to know and love her (or maybe just the idea of her?).

Fragrance impression:
After a long dry spell with Clive Christian (which is easy to understand based on some past and future statements), I came across this beautiful fragrance. It opens with a natural, citrusy bergamot and cooling mate tea. This is followed by a fresh jasmine note, completely free of indolence, and a light woody note. The drydown is characterized by a woody, fir-like freshness, freshly cut woods and creamy clouds of musk. In my opinion, Clive Christian has delivered a wonderful woody-floral, slightly dry modern chypre here, but one that never succumbs to the vintage opulence of other representatives of this category.
This fragrance is listed as unisex by the manufacturer and of course anyone can wear it, regardless of gender. For me, however, it still has a clear feminine tendency without being a typical women's fragrance.

Finally, I would like to thank NeverPerfect for the testing opportunity and thank everyone who has read my text :)
