Disappointment
I had to change my review unfortunately because my Irriation about this fragrance was not understood, which is a shame because I thought my comment was very accurate.
I don't get it why Dior thinks it's okay to sell a fragrance under the same name that has nothing to do with the original. I haven't had a Dior Homme in my collection for a long time and thought maybe it was time again.
I almost ordered this fragrance thinking it had anything to do with the original. I would probably have seen God in all colors.

About the scent: woody spicy- synthetic mix mash. Reminds me way too much of Bleu De Chanel. Not mine but I can understand if other young men find him quite appealing.
Would have been okay.... but why this name???
Why do you have to "replace" such a great fragrance with something like this.
I know the original is still available but most will think this disappointment is the original.

Classic
L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme was a kind of love at first sight for me. Because I have a weakness for fragrances in minimalist frosted glass bottles. I associate that mostly with cleanliness, freshness, citrus,...
I liked this fragrance right away.
The scent opens with a sour yuzu note and there is a green note floating around in the background, I'm guessing it's verbena. The yuzu fruit is extremely popular in Japan and looks exactly like a lemon on the outside.
The difference is in the aroma. Most people know what a lemon smells and tastes like. Yuzu is less acidic and goes in a slightly fruitier direction.
Throughout the development, an incredible freshness is perceptible.
Extremely present is also the slightly sweet mandarin and vetiver, which gives the whole a slightly earthy undertone.
Over time, sandalwood also lets out its spicy and masculine character.

In conclusion, I can say that Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme is the epitome of Japanese elegance for me. It is very fresh and citrusy but at the same time clearly more complex than one would initially suspect.
Over time, it gains spicy notes, but they are by no means heavy and give the fresh character of the fragrance some variety. The sourness of the yuzu weakens with time and reveals the diverse character of this Asian fruit.

Is unfortunately not many good yuzu fragrances, this one is simply a classic that is second to none. Therefore, he is also for a long time a fixed part of my collection.

Solid Aquate
"Free Wave" is not a fragrance innovation but it does not have to be. Because I think the name fits to what you get. A fresh, spicy and slightly sweet aquatic.
He thus adapts to any everyday situation and and gives the wearer a feeling of cleanliness.
Not every fragrance has to have depth or development.
He is very fragrant and the durability is quite okay. Hollister plays here once again its strength in aquatic and fresh fragrances. They are mostly very simple but also very solid. I think everyone needs at least one simple "easy to wear" fragrance in his collection.
The bottle is surprisingly very high quality for the price range. Heavy frosted glass with a blue metal cap. Seems pretty classy and reminds me something of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue

Animal or animal stable?
In an article about archaic art in ancient Greece, I came across the terms "Kouros" and "Kore". Immediately I remembered Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent.
The sleek white bottle with silver accents always caught my eye, however I guess I didn't find it enticing enough.
Well then, I happened to walk by a perfumery the next day and figured I had to test it out, otherwise I'd be constantly wondering what it smelled like.
And oh man.... i wish I still didn't know what it smelled like. Because while I made up in my head that this one smelled more like fruit from the Mediterranean region paired with a spicy freshness due to the white color and Greek theme, the actual scent blew me away. And that in the most negative sense.
I've never smelled anything so strong. Next to it, petrol smells like vanilla. I couldn't even describe what it smelled like exactly, there was just too much happening at once. And I know I didn't like it.
Just looking at the scent pyramid gives you an idea of what the whole thing smells like, an indefinable blend with an unbearable sting in the nose.
Well at least the shelf life is very good to my misfortune. After 2 days I have the stuff Immernoch smelled on the back of my hand.
This fragrance has shown me that I can not stand animal scents.
If you're a little younger and attractive and want to keep all the ladies from the neck, the could already be very efficient. However, I could only determine that at the moment on one lady. My female companion had to gag after sniffing.
More I have as a conclusion also not to say.
Absolutely try out before you take home a hate fragrance. Because you have to really stand on something like that

A fragrance that everyone likes
I'm a little ashamed right now, because I have discovered this extremely well-known fragrance only now (for me). Through fragrances like Y or La Nuit de L'Homme Le Parfum, I had unfortunately a false image of the designer brand.
While the two fragrances mentioned come across very unexciting and simple, I must say that La Nuit de L'Homme has really changed my mind.
It has all the components that I want in an autumnal fragrance. Be it cardamom, vetiver, tonka bean or black pepper.
These components provide a sweet by the tonka bean and cardamom, by the pepper and cedar spicy fragrance. Lavender adds a floral touch, so it comes across as very balanced and pleasant. I'm sure La Nuit de L'Homme won't really clash or annoy with anyone.
The performance, by the way, is also quite good, with me he holds around the 6-7 hours until he is then only body close perceptible.
To the batches I can not say anything, apparently I have received the latest Reformuliering, which again has a good shelf life. Find it good that Ysl has arrowed at the durability, however, I would make sure that none of the older versions are in circulation so that everyone gets the same fragrance.

Verdict: La Nuit de L'Homme is a very fragrant fragrance. None of the components is annoying and you get so some compliments as a wearer. For me, it is a clear autumn fragrance, however, I would also wear it in the spring up to 20 degrees, because it smells just very pleasant. For the winter he is not strong enough for me, I prefer a Givenchy Gentleman or Spicebomb Extreme.
So La Nuit de L'Homme is a people pleaser and leaves the wearer smelling very clean and cozy. It is suitable for the night, for going out but in moderate doses also as an everyday fragrance
