It is winter in a spa hotel somewhere in southern Germany. The sun rises over the hills and behind the fog and life slowly awakens in the house.
Breakfast has already begun and some guests are taking a dip in the swimming pool. Hardworking helpers distribute fragrant clean white laundry in the sauna and wellness area. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean, fresh and tidy. Through the large glass pane you can now see how the fog slowly dissolves. The world outside looks dimmed and enchanted.

In the Asia area, a member of staff prepares the body powder that she needs for various treatments: In finely ground rice powder, she mixes the ingredients she collected in summer with sweet grass from her homeland: rose petals, jasmine, cedar wood and sweet grass are finely ground in a mortar and mixed with the powder. After the treatment, a large powder puff is dipped into the container and the flower wood powder is now applied to the skin. It cools the skin, prevents chafing and deodorizes. The scent is beguiling and soothing.

Narciso poudrée is such a fragrance: gentle, beguiling and calm. Very fine and restrained, yet with a good portion of musk. Narciso poudrée is a very feminine and seductive fragrance. One who comes along on quiet soles, but does not hide at all. An ideal fragrance for the daily office routine. If you leave the dosage at 2-3 sprays, you will hardly disturb anyone and still be noticed. He is not someone you can smell on every corner, for this reason alone he is something special. Narciso Rodriguez has succeeded in incorporating vetiver here without the fragrance automatically having a masculine effect. But it conveys the slightly reserved coolness that it radiates. The flowers are well visible, but not too playful. It can also be worn in areas where discretion is required, but women still want to smell good.

To some people it may seem old-fashioned because of the powdery impression. I cannot confirm this impression. My grandma smelled different. Narciso poudrée is a very modern fragrance that goes its own way and does not follow the mainstream. He has a high recognition value and is sexy without being disreputable or too playful. I've been approached about him many times

Conclusion: For me Narciso poudrée is a very feminine autumn/winter scent. In the cool air it can develop its full beauty. He wouldn't be alive enough for me in summer. It is particularly suitable for everyday work in areas where a high level of technical knowledge and at the same time restraint are required.

It is the end of June in Provence and the lavender harvest is in full swing.
I wake up in the morning in the bright light and first have to find my way around. I'm here again: In Provence, the land of light. We are in our apartment on the outskirts of Roussillon. Far away from the noise of the city and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Yesterday we arrived and I feel like I've been here forever. I get up quietly and walk into the yard. The stones are warm and the crickets are chirping.

The warm morning sun carries the scent of the flowering lavender from the field next door over to us. Strong, spicy and herbaceous. I inhale deeply, inhaling the spicy lavender scent that blends with the scent of pine and cedar. The fragrance is indescribably fresh and spicy with Bachmint, oakmoss and warm wood. My gaze wanders into the distance and I see the mountain ranges of the Luberon with its strong green. The forest floor smells warm and woody, the crickets chirp and the sun announces a hot day. It's Sunday and we're off. Maybe we'll go to Isle sur la Sorge at the Sunday market. We could have lunch at the restaurant by the river. We'll see. A wonderful day begins. On the radio Patrick Bruel sings "pour la vie" and out of the house it smells like a fresh cafe..

That's exactly the mood Luberon captures: The scent is relaxed, spicy, lavendery with green, minty and mossy notes that later merge into warm cedar wood. A wonderful original scent that immediately picks me up and captures-wonderful!

Conclusion: Very beautifully done and in any case not only interesting for Provence lovers. The only drawback and therefore point deduction is the unfortunately unreasonably high price. The bottle could also be more valuable for this price. But otherwise a completely successful and very individual fragrance.

The bottling that reached me last week on a dull October day conjured up direct sunbeams into this dull day. Only a few drops on the back of my hand were enough to let a warm fragrance cloud rise into my nose and beam me directly into Provence.

It was in September 2017 when we sat at the harbour for dinner in southern France. As it is, the terrace was full and everyone was in a good mood and enjoyed the evening. Suddenly a woman ran by and had a smell on her that captured not only me but the whole terrace. Wow, what a scent! She literally floated past us with this scent and it hung in the air minutes later. My husband wasn't the only visitor to inquire about that scent. Unfortunately she was already gone and I couldn't ask anymore. It was a soft, velvety slightly spicy fragrance - clearly an Oriental.

Although I'm more of a friend of the fresh flower scents I was fascinated by this Duftaura - I had to have it! Now I have rushed on everything oriental and have sniffed, ordered samples and bottlings, but none was it. I tested Coco, Samsara, Joop, Shalimar and other common suspects. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Everyone has a rather old-fashioned touch for me. I then left it and gave up my undertaking, almost forgot it until I noticed this scent again on my holiday in 2018. And this time I could immediately ask the wearer: It was Scherrer Nuit inddienne!!! A brand unknown to me until then. It was also bought immediately, because here in Germany Scherrer is rather hard to get. The fashion house Scherrer is probably also known in the fashion world for its exclusive creations.

Now to the fragrance: Nuit inddienne starts directly floral exotic spicy fresh. It reminds a little bit of Chanel No5 in this starting phase. The soapy aldehyde it may be. However, this impression changes quite quickly and makes room for extremely soft ylang ylang flowers, heliotrope and vanilla. Later accompanied by creamy sandalwood, wonderful benzoin and amber. But all in all a very homogeneous and incredibly mysterious sensual and feminine fragrance that captivates me from beginning to end and envelops me like a silky veil of fragrance. Nuit indienne is extremely extravagant and can be worn on special evenings or occasions. He needs a big robe to work. But he does, too. It gives a shell of soft exoticism and velvety femininity. An unusually beautiful fragrance for the grand entrance. The Sillage is in the high range, the durability is enormous with at least 10 hours.

Conclusion: Nuit indienne is a great seducer and flatterer. An unusual fragrance for the evening and for special occasions. He'd be too opulent for my office. The flowers make it a modern floral for women aged 25 and over who love a big appearance, life and warm fragrances. I got to know him in summer and find him wonderful for summer evenings. In our latitudes it is more suitable for autumn and winter.

On the search for a summer fragrance this one also crossed my path or I actually got to know it last hot summer as a shower gel. I liked this so much that I bought a 100ml bottle of the fragrance for the coming season.

During the weeks-long heat wave last year all of Germany longed for water. Water to drink, to spray on, to jump in or to shower off. Water!
L´Eau pure -pure water- brings exactly this fresh water feeling to the skin for a moment. And now I'm going to turn on your head movie:

It's the late 80s and on German commercial television the advertisement for a soap called Fa is shown. Accompanied by wellness music a blonde beauty in white bikini panties ran over the hot beach to get into the cool water. There in the deep blue waters of the Caribbean Ocean she swam and played with a dolphin. Fresh, young and beautiful like the young company with the scent of limes. Of course we bought - fresh young and beautiful as we bought the soap - what you fall for.

That's exactly what this fragrance reminds me of: the Fa soap of the 90s. L´Eau Pure is very fresh and slightly cooling. The bitter-sweet freshness comes mainly from green tea and lime. Rhubarb, kiwi and lotus can be seen. Later the freshness fades away and a light, fresh, well-groomed, slightly woody scent remains on the skin - very pleasant.

No large fragrance course no expensive ingredients - a beautiful non-artificial freshness that feels like a fresh shower. L´Eau Pure is a young and uncomplicated good mood fragrance. It won't last long, and it shouldn't. He should refresh and he does! It is best if it is generously sprayed on after showering.

The Biotherm fragrances are not perfumes in the true sense of the word, but are sold as body spray, i.e. they also contain caring ingredients. What I really like are the essential oils of sage and lime. Sage is often used on hot days - even indoors - and lime has a very refreshing and invigorating effect.

L´Eau Pure is not quite cheap as a body spray but really great. The matching shower gel does not have to be, the blue one from Nivea is similar and does it too. At great heat a very pleasant slightly cooling scent that gives you the feeling of "fresh showered".

In my small series of summer fragrances today I would like to introduce one of my personal favorites:
Light blue.
So much has already been written about him, both positive and negative. Yet he simply belongs with me on my list of summer scents.

Light blue is in and of itself a rather unspectacular fragrance. It is clean and above all FRESH!
When the thermometer reaches the 30°C mark in summer, I prefer not to have a scent around me. In the evening yes, but otherwise rather no. A body spray does a good job. Nevertheless, I like a cool refreshment or a gentle breeze from time to time and citrus scents are suitable for this. Light blue is such a citrus scent.

When I smell Light blue I think of carefree holidays on Capri and the Amalfi coast. To the ink blue water and the fresh clear air during the crossing on the ship. On a fine beach with lots of sun and children laughing. Freshly squeezed lemons and oranges mixed with sugar and mineral water to a delicious lemonade. The gentle sunsets, the blue grotto and lots of love. And of course the unbridled joy of life of the inhabitants with everything that belongs to it.

The special thing about Light blue is its softness. Citrus fragrances are often tangy and masculine. Light blue is gentle. The citrus freshness is accompanied by the fine sweetness of the apple as soon as it is sprayed on. Rose and jasmine give a beautiful feminine touch, reinforced by the fresh bamboo. The woody base not only gives it depth and powderiness but also makes it durable. The complete package is a perfect, feminine fresh fragrance that not only refreshes, but also lasts for a few hours. Even after 5 hours it still blows me gently fresh and delicately floral. It never gets too much, it doesn't bother you and you can wear it even if you don't feel like scent.

Despite countless copies, he has been able to retain his charm. Because the Dupes are always missing something. Either they're too sweet or too bitter, or they fly like the wind. This soft feminine note has only light blue.

Light blue is pure joie de vivre for me and has therefore been my unspectacular all-time favorite in summer for years.
