What a beautiful interpretation of Cuir de Russie! It opens with a bold hit of civet that immediately grabs your attention, but within seconds a sweet, elegant violet steps in to soften the edges. Then come the florals and birch tar, dancing together in a perfectly balanced, sensual rhythm. The leather slowly emerges—not too strong, not too animalic—remaining smoky and gently sweet at the same time.
Among the different takes on Cuir de Russie I’ve tried, this one stands out for its freshness and unique brightness. A really well-crafted perfume… approved! Though, let’s be honest—the price is quite something!

This vintage-inspired style is simply phenomenal. The rose and oud, with their endless nuances, create a fragrance that shifts and transforms every time I wear it. Performance is just right – as expected from a natural perfume – but what truly blows me away is the quality of the raw materials. I’m honestly thrilled to be one of the lucky owners of a bottle of this masterpiece.

This is not a fragrance with a huge evolution—quite the opposite, it stays fairly linear on the skin, but what it delivers is absolutely delicious. The longevity is incredible, lasting entire days and maybe even more. At first it might seem challenging to wear, yet the violet and white flowers, with their slightly indolic touch, make it surprisingly pleasant and versatile.

Which version do I prefer? The first remains an absolute must-have, but this one holds its ground with dignity.
And the so-called Russian leather? Well… not really there
In the end though: approved, especially for the quality-to-price ratio.

Guys… what a fragrance!
Iris has always been a love–hate note for me, but what Wasif Reza has created here is just incredible. Despite his young age, he already shows a hand of the highest level, and I’m sure the best is yet to come.

This is a perfume that leans into a vintage chypre style, enriched with an animalic touch that never feels disturbing. The iris is clearly at the center, but it transforms over time, eventually unfolding into a base of oakmoss and deer musk, which give it depth and character.

And that’s it… the damage is done: I’ve fallen in love with the hand of this promising perfumer , who by now I also consider a friend.
Keep going, Wasif—the future looks bright.

I’ve never liked rose—in fact, I used to hate it… or at least I thought so, until I smelled Black Tripura.

The blend of different roses and their extractions, carried by a dark, salty ambergris opening that later gives way to a deep and mysterious Tripura oud, is truly breathtaking, even for me.

One thing I’ve noticed in Hunayn’s creations is their incredible body and longevity: these are full, kaleidoscopic perfumes that truly embody the idea of Oriental fragrances with a capital O.

For lovers of the classic rose–oud pairing, this composition turns it completely upside down and reinvents it.
