ARA by Mallo is one of those fragrances that seem to belong to multiple worlds at once, effortlessly shifting between a refined chypre and an aromatic fougère. It thrives on contrasts but does so with incredible grace.
The opening is spicy and vibrant, with cardamom, cumin, and elemi creating a warm, slightly resinous introduction. Then comes the floral heart, where pipirigallo—a unique type of jasmine—adds an enveloping brightness, balanced by the aromatic freshness of lavender, Spanish artemisia, and Spanish basil. The base is a tribute to nature, with oakmoss, Spanish cypress, thyme, and rosemary, giving it depth and a character that is both wild and refined.
Once again, Antonio Mallo proves to be an extraordinary perfumer. ARA is complex yet perfectly harmonious, captivating both chypre and fougère lovers alike. A unique, elegant, and truly mesmerizing creation.

REA by Mallo is pure liquid seduction. Every time I wear it, it surprises me with its intense and ever-changing character—a perfect balance of creamy florals and gourmand sensuality.
The opening is bright, with the sweetness of Valencia orange immediately awakening the senses. Then comes the fragrance’s magnetic heart: Indian tuberose, opulent and velvety, dances with Spanish carnation, adding a slightly spicy nuance. But the real magic happens in the base, where cocoa absolute wraps everything in a deep, gourmand embrace, while sandalwood and ambrette seed bring softness and sensuality.
And honestly, what more can I say? Mallo’s perfumer is one of my favorites… an absolute genius! Every creation feels like pure art, and REA is no exception. Hypnotic, enveloping, and ever-evolving on the skin, it’s a fragrance that lingers in the mind long after it’s gone. Passion, elegance, and mystery—this scent doesn’t need to shout to make a statement.

Grandenia is, without a doubt, one of my favorite Areej Le Doré creations. Every time I wear it, it feels like a different fragrance, revealing new facets with each experience. A vintage chypre? I’m not sure, but it has a uniquely seductive aura.
The bright opening of lemon and bergamot lasts only for a moment before the frankincense absolute wraps everything in a deep, mysterious haze. Then comes the gardenia—creamy, opulent, yet never overly sweet—intertwined with nutmeg, cinnamon, and an unexpected hint of rosemary, adding freshness and contrast.
The base is pure magic: Thai and Indonesian oud meld seamlessly with black ambergris, which adds depth and a subtle animalic touch. Patchouli, sandalwood, and myrrh create a warm, enveloping foundation, while saffron brings a refined spicy nuance. The fossilized amber gives it an ancient, almost mystical charm.
A fragrance that is ever-changing, magnetic, and effortlessly elegant. No matter how many times I wear Grandenia, it always has something new to reveal.

I love how Teone Reinthal uses champaca, and in Night Song Devotion, it’s simply mesmerizing. Right from the start, this exotic flower intertwines with incense and myrrh, creating a mystical and enveloping aura.

As it evolves, the fragrance reveals new facets: tobacco and Indian oud add depth and mystery, while pink lotus brings a delicate, almost ethereal touch. In the base, Mysore sandalwood and vanilla smooth out the composition, adding warmth and creaminess, with labdanum leaving a slightly ambery, leathery trail.

A fragrance that never stops surprising, shifting on the skin and revealing all its nuances. Hypnotic, deep, and perfectly balanced.

Iris Ghalia Trifecta by Ensar Oud is an iris like you’ve never smelled before—raw, animalic, and wrapped in a mineral and earthy aura that makes it absolutely hypnotic.
The opening is bold and animalic, with an explosion of musk and oud, quickly followed by spicy nuances and a very mineral ambergris, which adds depth and a slightly salty vibration. The iris begins to emerge, but this is far from the usual powdery interpretations—here, it’s buttery, dense, and grounded in earthiness.
The heart plays with contrasts between the velvety iris, the wild power of castoreum, and the resinous persistence of balsamic notes. The oud remains present but never overpowering, blending seamlessly into the composition.
The fragrance settles into a creamy and velvety Mysore sandalwood base, softening the animalic facets, while the ambergris leaves a lingering mineral and subtly salty trail that lasts for hours.
