"Naxos" for mild to warm temperatures
First of all WOW - what a fragrance experience!!! For me a great Naxos alternative for spring/summer. What the "Naxos | XerJoff" has more tobacco and is coarser, the "400 | XerJoff" is much smoother.

There are definitely similarities due to the honey and tobacco, but the "400 | XerJoff" goes in a more floral direction as it progresses.

I tested both on my arms and have to say that they conjure up a very pleasant feeling for me. Nevertheless, the heaviness of the Naxos fragrance is more suitable for cold days - and that's where the 400 comes in.
Due to the light mandarin and floral notes in the heart note, I think it is very suitable for warmer days in spring or in the transition between summer and fall.

Longevity and sillage are very good - easily lasts a working day for me. My wife likes this perfume better than Naxos for the above-mentioned reasons of "lightness" but without being weak.

The high summer test is still to come this year, but I think it can work in the evenings in summer - I'm already looking forward to the coming sunny season - if only to unpack the summer fragrances!

It has already passed the test at a mild 15 degrees the other day.

The quality of the leather box and the bottle are typical for Xerjoff at a very high level. P/L is ok for the performance offered.

Into the sea with a 1 inch head start
When I smell the fragrance, I imagine I've just driven a fast car race against Vin Diesel (6d-Temp), which of course I narrowly win by 1 inch = 2.54 cm.

My reward is not a Corona beer but a very fresh dip in the sea.

With what feels like 100 episodes of Fast & Furious, "Cool Water (Eau de Toilette) | Davidoff" looks just as vintage as the exaggerated but entertaining action series with co-star Paul Walker (RIP) who jumps into the sparkling sea in the Davidoff ad

In the same scene in Bond films, 007 would of course wear a more noble fragrance - perhaps "Green Irish Tweed | Creed", which is already similar to Cool Water, since the same fragrance director is at work.

... and when the fragrance's short shelf life of about 2-3 hours fades, I realize with horror that I only won the traffic light start against a Sunday driver.

pleasantly citrusy and smoky
I compared "Club de Nuit Intense Man Limited Edition | Armaf" with "Aventus | Creed" (newer batch) and have to say that of all the dupes or clones, this one has the most pleasant effect on me. Both on the test strip and on the skin, it starts out citrusy and smoky without being unpleasant.
I don't detect any toilet stone vibes. The Aventus smells more finely tuned but the longevity and sillage fall well short of the test candidate.

I have heard that older batches are supposed to be significantly smokier. The newer Aventus reminds me more of "Cedrat Boise | Mancera" in terms of the softness of the fragrance, although it naturally lacks the pineapple.

If you like pleasant smoke with a citrusy accent, you will like this CDNIM LE.
It develops into a slightly sweeter fragrance later in the dry down.

It is already potent and should be dosed well.

Meanwhile, there are much better and cheaper Aventus alternatives if you take the new batches as a basis. This perfume is definitely one of them.

I can clearly recommend this fragrance. I got it cheaply at Notino for just under 50€. A no brainer for me.

In love with shock
When I wandered into the turquoise perfumery one day, I didn't really know which fragrances to start with. So I reached for Dior Sauvage, which was or still is partly notorious in the perfume community, as everyone probably has or wears it at home

Of all the flankers, I liked the "Sauvage (Eau de Parfum) | Dior" the best. The saleswoman said I should try the Elixir. I knew from the fragrance notes here on Parfumo that licorice was a note. I hated the smell and taste of liquorice as a child (and still do today). When I ate Haribo Colorado, the licorice always remained.

Unfortunately, I succumbed to the charm of the very attractive saleswoman and agreed to a taste test.... and THEN IT HAPPENED. You know that scene from the movie Ratatouille at the end when the grumpy old restaurant critic took his first spoonful of ratatouille and it exploded on his tongue, reviving neurological connections in his head to his almost forgotten childhood?

I felt the same way at that moment and it really wasn't because of the pretty employee. This fragrance DNA threw me off track so much that I smelled the fragrance stick constantly for the next few hours, like an alcoholic constantly reaching for his flask to take a sip.

I'm not a professional when it comes to fragrances, but I think I can tell the difference between good and bad smells. The funny thing is that I don't like the smell of durian (known as vomit fruit in Germany) but I love eating it.
The fascinating thing is that some scents and aromas are perceived differently by different organs and so for me "Sauvage Elixir | Dior" is a masterpiece of perfumery even though I can't smell or eat licorice at all. But this freshness with the spices triggers a feeling of sublimity and well-being in me.

Every time I take the dog for a walk in the wind and the breeze gives me a whiff of the scent, I get a satisfied smile on my face.

It's irrelevant to me whether it's a niche house or a designer - if it smells good and performs well then everything fits. I would wear it even if it came from KiK.

Everything has been said about the H/S... to use Jeremy's words. it's POOOOWWWEERRRR. it lasts and lasts and lasts... like the Duracell bunny but not with batteries but with an atomic drive.

Dior has managed to establish the word Elixir in the perfume world and all other fragrance houses that write it on their bottles always have to face the comparison with the "UR-Elixir" in terms of durability and projection.

P.S. this was my first review so bear with me if I've rambled on too much and Parfumo is a great community. I've already bought a few fragrances. they're all very friendly!
