Dried fruit in rum with coconut and honey sweetness
I would have loved this oriental gourmand by Bertrand Duchaufour! But unfortunately my skin doesn't like the scent at all.

It smells kind of interesting on my skin at first, but anything but good:
I smell dried fruit with a high mango content, softened in rum, plus coconut and honey-sweet davana, reinforced by honey wax - all clearly sweet (although not sticky!) and slightly sourly fermented.

The blossoms then give me the rest...

A little later, the gold from the oriental princely castle becomes more beautiful and easy to wear (but still far too sweet for me) with amber and vanilla as well as extremely subtle woody notes.
But before the base notes can develop (I was so looking forward to tobacco, oak, labdanum and especially mate!), the fragrance is gone!

Contrary to what I read, the sillage is very subtle on my skin and the fragrance (2 sprays) is almost imperceptible after just under 1 hour.

You absolutely have to test it on your skin!
I tested - forewarned - on paper strips first:
and there the tar only bites very briefly and a cool, smoky camphor note develops within a very short time, which then turns into a spicy, smoky woody note.

Beautiful! That would have been a straight 9 for me!

So the test followed on the skin:
and there the penetratingly pungent smell of the tar lasts much, much longer and actually goes through different aromas during this time:
sometimes it smells like the wood protection glaze for garden furniture, sometimes like something heavily coked, sometimes like the tar work used in road construction, sometimes like the brown train ointment, another time like a charred tree stump...
... sometimes extremely smelly, sometimes acridly pungent, at other times strongly spicy.
The spicy, cool camphor is completely absent from the fragrance on my skin and remains clearly tarry right to the end in the strongly smoky base.

Exciting at any rate - but nothing I would want to smell like.

THANK YOU @Kirer for the Lingua Plantas in your hiking letter

A balanced, aromatic and herbaceous fresh fragrance
Well, I'll take a chance - and after the (so far only) review by @Danny264 and the subsequent 55 (!) rather negative comments on Taom, it really takes a bit of courage!

I'm not a bigwig, (unfortunately also) without dandruff, haven't been in my mid-thirties for a very long time and don't like foam parties ...
But I do like freshly laundered linen shirts and I like this fragrance (and find it absolutely underrated at 6.9). 

Initially spicy, slightly earthy, citrusy (neither sour nor fruity), clearly star anise.
Thickens into a fresh, slightly smoky, spicy-peppery, citrusy fragrance.
Becomes increasingly herbaceous, citrus fades, the freshness remains.

All in all, a fresh, clearly mugwort-influenced, spicy, herbaceous aromatic fragrance that ends (hours later) in a warm, spicy, earthy amber-wood accord.

Simply beautiful on my skin and to my nose!

Taom has good longevity and a very pleasant sillage and is absolutely unisex for me.

PS:
I don't smell the cognac, but I don't miss it here at all: I prefer to drink it :-)

Good mood in a bottle
You know how you immediately get in a good mood when you smell a perfume?

For me, this has always been the case, if at all, with fragrances that are associated with memories of beautiful, carefree, happy moments.

With Solo Ella Eau de Toilette, however, I have felt this way ever since I first smelled the fragrance. It doesn't match my other fragrance preferences at all, mainly because it's far too sweet for me.
But as soon as I smell it - whether on someone else, on a test strip or on me - I "have" to smile.
And because that's the case, after some hesitation, back and forth and wrestling with myself, it has now been allowed to move in as a bottle (we'll see how long it can stay). At the moment, it just puts me in a good mood and that's worth its weight in gold!

About the fragrance:
Sweet - did I mention that already? - For me and my other fragrance preferences, it's actually very sweet. But even the chocolates and cotton candy can't beat me out of the field. 
Otherwise (slightly synthetic) fresh and fruity with a subtle peony and delicate woody vanilla.

All in all, as @Parfümlein described it very aptly for me in the second part of her review "Diffuse fruits in warm sun, round sweetness, indefinable beauty."

The garden of souls leaves me at a loss...
I smell the fragrance after spraying it on my skin and check whether I got the wrong tester from the Discovery Set (I had something in my head about aquatic with pepper):
Soul Garden smells wonderful on my skin at the very beginning, but not like any of the ingredients listed in the top note. A real feel-good fragrance. Warm, soft, slightly sweet but not too heavy and by no means overpowering. The fragrance embraces me and does my soul good. How beautiful!

Shortly afterwards, I suddenly and quite strongly smell rose (where does it come from?) and before I can check whether it really contains rose (it does: in the base!), the fragrance becomes aquatic. Only now and still?

I am not only somewhat astonished, but also long for the initial scent to return or some other harmonious fragrance. But the aquatics remain (I imagine that mint flashes out from time to time, but it's really not listed!) and at the same time the fragrance becomes sweeter and sweeter. The whole thing is very ambivalent on my skin...

Finally, Soul Garden develops into a very beautiful, woody, spicy and at the same time delicate fragrance in the base - but then it is also VERY close to the skin.

An exciting but unfortunately inharmonious fragrance that leaves me perplexed.
