Sometimes a fragrance doesn't have to smell "extraordinary" or reinvent the wheel.

L'immensité is in itself nothing more than a beautifully masculine smelling aftershave fragrance - beautifully spicy and aquatic, very masculine and well-groomed. But here we have the result of simplicity when it is implemented to a very high standard. A perfume is not only good if it simply smells good, but also if it is convincing in terms of durability and usability. Hardly any fresh fragrance lasts as long as L'immensité does for me. I can smell the fragrance all day long and even the next day I can still smell it. This is exactly why it is so special and superior to other designers. Like hardly any other fragrance (that is not gourmand or oriental), the longevity is so convincing.

You can really wear it at any time of year, in the coldest winter, like now, it might not be quite as assertive, but you could even get away with it.

If you pay 290€ for a fragrance, then I think it should be wearable every day and be a signature fragrance, which this one definitely is.

Rarely have I experienced that a fragrance can symbolize a person like this. For as long as I can remember, this beautiful bottle has been on my uncle's bathroom shelf, which I often visited as a child and teenager to play the latest computer games with my cousin. Nowadays, it's always there and is regularly replaced by a beautiful new 100ml bottle when the old one is used up. I secretly smell the fragrance every time I'm in the bathroom and put it back the way it was on the shelf before. The fragrance is omnipresent in his home and fits wonderfully. It reminds me of times gone by, although it still feels contemporary and not old-fashioned. A metallic, spicy, fresh perfume. A dreamy fragrance that is not particularly interesting or unusual, but always stands out positively - never negatively. I will buy it for my uncle's sake. I will smell it and reminisce about my youth.

I have to admit that Reflection Man is my favorite perfume of all time and I have already gone through all the bottles after 10 years of acquaintance. When I accidentally found out that Zara has a "dupe", or at least a perfume that is similar, I had to try it, even though I'm not a fan of dupes. Actually, I had absolutely no expectations and for 18€ I thought it was okay to be disappointed and bought the fragrance blind.

Then came the first spray. Smelled too close to the skin, it smells medicinal, has something cough syrupy... if you keep your nose at a normal smelling distance, a very surprising scent for the price emerges, which I really didn't expect. I perceive a vanilla that is already slightly metallic. At this stage, I find it similar to "Parfums de Marly Pegasus". It doesn't take long for the perfume to show a remarkable similarity to Reflection Man in the drydown. This dry, woody, floral powderiness is absolutely recognizable here. Just add a dose of vanilla and you get this fragrance.

Of course, they are not confusingly similar. Comparing an 18€ fragrance with a 20x more expensive fragrance doesn't work in my opinion. The differences in quality are too great. But if you want a Reflection Man Winter Edition that won't hurt your wallet, you can't go wrong with this fragrance!

H/S are absolutely fabulous for the price range. My Le Male Le Parfum lasts shorter.

The sun rises and a new day dawns. Like every day, the typical blue "freshie" takes it easy. A morning jog in the park is followed by a trip to the gym, and after the gym, imagine him diving into the water at the beach in the early afternoon - full of energy and the desire to live out the feeling of freedom. The epitome of a men's fragrance that symbolizes strength and freshness.

After such a day full of excitement and action, the freshie wants to take a shower in the evening - he uses a blue, masculine shower gel typical of the species and returns to the same beach where he had been a few hours ago, but this time not to do any sport, but to sit down in peace, enjoy the sunset and let the day end with gentleness. The scent of the shower gel I have just used is slightly perceptible, it is warm but calm, and to round off and harmonize with the mood created, a cup of black tea with lemon is added. The aromas merge in the air and excite the imagination.

It is precisely this idea that awakens "Imagination" in me. He is not the loud one, the attention seeker and not the one who has to prove himself. While the usual blue fragrances from the big designer brands do their thing, Imagination stands on the sidelines and knows that it can do better. Because the way the fragrance presents itself in the bottle, still waters are deep. The fragrance character does not reinvent the wheel. You like it so much because you are already used to this kind of fragrance - it just smells the way you would have hoped the others would. Or how you imagine other fragrances to smell, without realizing that your own wishful thinking might make the comparison perfume come off too well. A shower gel-like fragrance that does everything right and makes you forget problems such as "boring fragrance" or "is worn too much" or even "doesn't last long" and sets a new standard.

The fragrance itself reminds me of shower gel, shaving water-like masculinity, lemon peel, neroli and tea. Every time I smell Imagination on me, I think to myself how great and simple perfumery can be and still inspire me. It doesn't always have to be the big spicy explosion or the next oud fragrance that makes an expensive perfume worth its price. For me, it's the simplicity of the fragrance that allows it to be called a masterpiece, because it turns a simple fragrance into a big talking point.
