I avoided this scent because of the cacao scent, i thought this is sweet ! This is not gourmand or sweet! This is Guerlain, a MASTERPIECE! This scent makes you sniff it over and over again! This scent isn't boring!
When you sniff designer scents you get bored, because the scent doesn't change at all.
This is a different story, what a beautiful scent!
Cacao is in the back and Guerlain makes the rest!
I recommend it to everybody! Blind buy safe!

Masterpiece!!
How to describe this scent.....? Something orange ,but not fresh orange! I think if you put oranges on a pan and fry them(i have never tried this, but...). After this there is a scent of wood and vetiver but the "fried" orange remains.
This scent doesn't project much because it's on your personality!
You don't fill the room with it but everyone who comes close smells this MASTERPIECE!
After using this scent u can't be without smelling it on your skin(absolutely beautiful).
Why this is a Masterpiece?
Because it's a divine scent, of course it is a mild scent(But with mild i don't mean longevity(it's 8+h)) , it doesn't have sillage but if someone hugs you they can smell it. With this scent you can't stop smelling it on your skin! It's a superb MASTERPIECE!!!
it's somehow mild , but don't let it fool you, it's extraordinary and a unique scent.
What this makes it a MASTERPIECE is that you get addicted to it and you want to sniff it all the time(like heroin).
Every man should try this!!!
It is suitable for any situation even in the cold Nordic winter.

If you like Terre D'Hermes edt. You will like this one as well. The scent is almost identical but 5 times more intense(if i smell this blind , i would say this is Terre D'Hermes with steroids).
I like it and the top notes last longer(orange, grapefruit and pepper) than Hermes edt. I haven't smelled/owned Edp version of Hermes, so i cannot compare it.
Lovely stuff for those who like Terre D'Hermes Edt.
In the morning use this one and during the day boost it with Terre D'Hermes edt=its Perfect.

edit. Dry down is very different than Hermes! Soapy+ fruity.
But When you combine/layer this two there is a heavinly scent.
This is on it's own a really good scent. But with Hermes edt it's magnificent!

This test with just one spray:
The first 40 minutes. strong toilet cleaner + and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese melted in the sun, from which you can imagine maggots crawling out. (really disgusting smell, especially that chemical smell).

40-65min. Brings to mind a weekend night at a cheap bar and you go to the urinal, the smell of piss and urinal cleaning chemicals, with a hint of mild Parmigiano-Reggiano in the background.

1h5min-1h45min. If it were summer now, the mosquitoes would leave you alone, because the smell is the same as strong mosquito repellent.

1h 45min- 2h, now the smell is clearly changing to something, the smell is some exotic pepper or peppery spice mix. Now for the first time it smells good.

2h- 7h, Now there is a clear rose, a bit like a rose opening from a bud but the rose does not open and the scent remains the same (I kept waiting for the rose to open but it did not happen). So a very mild but good rose.

7h+ - until I fell asleep, the scent changed again and now it was some sweet unidentified fruit, this was already a skin scent.

But I only experienced this with one spray. I definitely need to try again and with more sprays.
But the first 2 hours were horrible, if you took the bus, you would have half the bus to yourself because people would try to get away from you.

I bought Captain Fawcett moustache wax which had the scent Maharajah, I fell in love with the scent under my nose. It enchanted me and I had to buy this perfume. The scent is not identical with the moustache wax though (there is lacking an Indian oriental note). Old musty rose (sixtees to eightys scent of cheap pub rose scent by old ladies sitting in the corner) taken to a new level. Rose is still strong but not cheap (a little dark but modern) added by oriental scents/spicies.
I absolutely like it, but my wife didn´t like it too much. So there is a problem because the sillage and protection are ultimate strong so where can I use this incredible perfume ? A really strong rose scent but masculine. This is a spicy, oriental rose scent for this day. Maybe a little musty. I love it ! There is something mystique about it.
