Like, not love

This was a blind buy since the value is insane. Its perfectly pleasant, but it doesn't excite me. I think its a safe option if you're looking for something to throw in your gym bag for after a shower or you need a gift for a guy who isn't a frag head but could use something simple to throw on.
Safe. Pleasant. That's all, though.

With that said, I ended up buying a second bottle. Not for me, but because two of my coworkers smelled this and were very excited. Apparently it's a phenomenal choice for teen boys. One of them bought my bottle as a birthday gift for her kid and the other had me add one onto an order so her son could have it as well.

Easy grab, cheap, safe - and apparently a great choice for moving away from Axe and leveling up to a "real" fragrance. It has it's place, but unfortunately that place is not in my collection.

Lacks of... Everything

Fresh and harmless scent, woody but with a slightly warm note in the center.

Unfortunately it is quite trivial for my taste, it just lacks personality and on my skin it lasted something like 45 minutes, after which it totally vanished.

In this category / family there are better options.

The alarm clock rings...

... I get up and go take a shower. After showering, I make my morning coffee. Then I get dressed. The shirt, tie, shoes, and suit I already laid out last night. I get dressed and before I button up the shirt, I apply this fragrance that gives me a certain gentleman vibe. After I’m fully dressed, I add a few sprays to the shirt and head to my car to drive to my appointment.

When applying this fragrance, the nose first perceives a fresh citrus vibe. There’s also a spicy and slightly woody note. The perfume has a slightly earthy and dark quality due to the patchouli. The papyrus makes it straw-dry.

The perfume is compared to Eau Sauvage by Dior, and there is a certain similarity. However, it is not old-school but modern.

The longevity and sillage are good.

This is a fragrance for men from about 25 years old that can be worn all year round. I see it best suited for daytime in the office, during meals, at meetings, or simply while shopping. Of course, it can also be worn in the evening, but it is discreet and may get lost in the crowd.

Those who enjoy a fresh citrusy earthy scent will find this a good option at a reasonable price.

Bois de Verhunzu?

My anticipation regarding the name of the fragrance was shattered within seconds with full force after I caught the first whiff.
I don't know if a fragrance note is really present in the bottle from a natural source; it smells artificial through and through. And the so-called Yuzubaumholz smells exactly like the synthetic Yuzu fragrance oil that I own myself.

No wonder, I think, since the price of natural Yuzu oil is quite high. And I haven't discovered Yuzubaumöl anywhere so far. The name of a perfume is also a promise to the consumer. Is this what Lagerfeld promises, what the name stands for?

While I was rather positively surprised by Bois de Vetiver, Bois de Yuzu is a complete flop for me.

I really like Yuzu, but I guess I will have to wait for another fragrance. That's fine, then I'll just mix something up myself.
