The scent of summer
This is indeed a wonderful fragrance. It smells luxurious. It is a royal woody creamy coconut scent.
I can totally understand why someone might say it smells like sunscreen. Not because it's cheap, but because it puts you in a summer or vacation mood so well that it activates your 'core vacation mode/memory' :)
This is really very good. And what I particularly like about it - the projection is not very strong, rather intimate, and for such a fragrance type that's important. It doesn't smother everything/everyone around you, but if someone is already close enough to smell it, it won't let you go.
I think it's equally good for any time of year. Really amazing fragrance!

Between fire and fruit
Possibly one of the best openings I've ever experienced, and the best part is that this opening lasts forever! It really is glorious, juicy, ripe and realistic - mango ice cream. People say that "God of Fire" is not an appropriate name, but I disagree. I don't see the name as a burning fire, but rather as a sun-kissed canyon somewhere in Egypt or Morocco, with the scent of mango and mild spices from the nearby fruit stalls.
In this case, "God of Fire" refers more to the mood and imagery that the scent evokes, i.e. the heat of the gorge/desert mixed with the sparkling, juicy, creamy fruits. Another final point is that the performance is pretty good too. I was also worried that it might be too feminine, but this is a truly unisex fragrance that anyone can wear!

The versatile signature fragrance
Layton is a fragrance that I would classify as woody, vanilla, spicy, aromatic and fruity (in that order). It's very smooth, clean, sweet and robust with good longevity and projection (PDM DNA), but it's also airy and fresh, which makes it very versatile and mass-appealing. It's a fragrance that won't offend anyone and that everyone will at least like.
It opens with a burst of cardamom and green apple, supported by a stable and ever-present woody-vanilla base that gives this formulation its drydown. You also get touches of sweet and soft lavender, flanked by sporadic bursts of faint citrus and geranium (non-specific rose note) in the background. The woody accord consists of Iso E Super, sandalwood and vanillic guaiac wood, smoothed by vanillin, which is faintly perceptible as a rich, pure bourbon vanilla note. The opening is the richest part, with the most nuances.
After about an hour, as it dries down, the cardamom and green apple fade along with the citrus and lavender in the background, leaving the beautiful, smooth, sweet, woody vanilla base, smoothed out by lavender and cardamom.
The freshness of the green apple makes this fragrance much more balanced and nuanced as well as versatile. The scent is very well balanced and not too sweet, making it suitable for a variety of people and situations. I think this scent can be worn all year round, but is best suited for spring and early fall. It's not ideal for extreme heat and cold, but other than that, it should work well. Layton is easily a signature scent.

Aventus is simply a king among perfumes
It really is the best. There really is no comparison. I used up a few bottles and numerous bottlings of different fragrances back in the day until I tried a sample of Aventus. I was blown away by how good it smelled and I consumed the entire sample in one day, then I looked at the prices for a full bottle and thought "Holy sh...", that's already expensive and I decided to hold off.
I spent the next little while trying different scents, but nothing compared to Aventus, so I bought a bottle, and I'm glad I did.
In my eyes Aventus is clean, masculine, professional, sexy and confident. It smells like success and money in a bottle. It's perfect for any occasion and a massive compliment collector.
Creed simply struck a nerve when they launched this fragrance and after trying it, it's easy to see why it's so well known and frequently copied. Aventus is the king!

Duftalternative zu Imagination
Dies ist einer meiner Lieblingsdüfte aus der Louis Vuitton Kollektion. Er ist perfekt für den Sommer und eine wirklich gute Alternative zu dem zitrusartigen "Imagination".
Dieses Parfüm wird mit Sicherheit viele Komplimente von Menschen bekommen, es ist sehr schwer diesen Duft nicht zu mögen. Wenn man den Flakon öffnet, riecht man eine Vielzahl von tropischen Früchten, der Duft ist sehr angenehm, aber nicht zu süß, was ich sehr mag.
Das Parfüm sticht wirklich hervor und hat eine einzigartige DNA. Leider der einzige Nachteil dieses Parfüms, dass es kurz anhält. Der Duft hält ca. 3 oder 4 Stunden an, bevor er verblasst, aber es ist eine tolle Alternative zu Zitrusparfüms.
