When Freshness and Sweetness Make Peace
I stumbled upon Salam because I am drawn to scents that smell exactly like it, but I'll get to how it smells in a moment.
I once read somewhere that it has a similar scent character to Reflection Man. Well, that's pretty much my favorite fragrance that I own.
I was very positively surprised by the sample I ordered, and it may sound crazy, but I truly felt peace as its scent wafted into my nose.
It was as if all the hustle and bustle I experience in everyday life suddenly faded away from me.
About the scent:
It opens with a gentle, almost ethereal freshness that is playfully enveloped by a light sweetness. So fresh that it doesn't come across as sharp, and just sweet enough that it never feels sticky. There is a delicate interplay between lightness and depth. Between playfulness and maturity.
So well-balanced that I find it suitable for any situation in life.
It brings a certain elegance that is not at all intrusive.
And as a nice bonus, it also garners a compliment or two.
Longevity & Sillage
Freshly sprayed, it envelops me for a good 2-3 hours and radiates its character very well to my surroundings.
After that, it becomes a bit quieter, but is still there with a gentle smile, flattering those around me. After about 7-8 hours, it slowly fades, and to enjoy the peace, one has to come close to me; it may take some time to reapply.
Conclusion:
For me, Salam is a fragrance that truly lives up to its name.
It gives me a feeling of inner peace, kindness, and respect.
It makes me feel that this inner peace does not only take place in the mind and heart, but that I can also smell it. It’s as if it emanates gentle messages of openness and tolerance. Indeed, a very special fragrance.
And now, fitting to the name of the fragrance, dear readers, I would like to point out that peace in every respect is always the better choice than war, just as the soft sounds of this fragrance are more beautiful than any noise.

The Name Says It All!
Rose and the unisex theme can quickly go in both directions..
Well, let's start from the beginning. I only know the Initio fragrances from hearing and reading about them, so I ordered the large sample set with 10 samples directly from Initio, and my journey begins with Atomic Rose.
About the scent
It starts surprisingly fresh, sparkling, and fruity, somewhat like a chilled peach soda, which we probably owe to the bergamot.
After about 5 minutes, the soda develops into a somewhat minty rose, which gains momentum more and more, and after about half an hour, it is fully present and wraps itself in a dark vanilla cloak because it’s cold outside.
Although one might think it could only go in a warm direction now, I must say that I still perceive some pleasantly fresh notes that occasionally make an appearance. From this point on, it is straightforward and linear without further change.
Longevity & Sillage
With 3 small sprays from the sample, the scent lasted about 8 hours on my skin. Initially, for the first 3-4 hours, it radiated very strongly, but then it became more intimate, and my surroundings didn’t perceive it as much anymore. This might also be because I didn’t get much out of the sample. I can imagine that the fragrance could add 1-2 more layers in terms of sillage and longevity.
Conclusion. An intense, elegant, fresh rose scent that impresses with modern freshness and darkness at the same time. For me, it’s a fragrance for the colder seasons or transitional periods. It leans more towards the feminine side for me. However, anyone who doesn’t mind that should definitely give this fragrance a try.

An Unforgettable Youth
There are many fragrance creations in this world, from masterpieces to repulsive, grotesque brews.
And then there are those that manage to flatter our hearts and evoke something that makes you never forget the past time spent with these scents.
For me, that is the Armani Code line.
About the Fragrance
I still vividly remember my first vacation without my parents - Lloret de Mar 2012. A clique, summer, freedom, and endless nights where we enjoyed life to the fullest. Back then, I wore the classic
Armani Code (2004) Eau de Toilette
A fragrance that not only gave me confidence but also somehow made me feel finally grown up, which can certainly be debated at 18 years old. :)
It was the time of first great adventures, unexpected encounters, and those moments that burn indelibly into memory.
And Today?
When I sprayed the
Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum for the first time, it was as if I were right back at that place where my journey with this line began.
The fresh fruity mandarin, the spicy nutmeg, and the sensually sweet-smoky tonka bean strongly remind me of my time in Spain.
While the
Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum feels distinctly more embracing and sweeter than the original Code.
However, it exudes the same aura from back then and is perfectly balanced between freshness, spice, and warmth. I think this makes it a perfect companion for warm summer evenings. It can be worn very versatile and, in my opinion, fits into almost any situation.
It radiates maturity and determination,
while still maintaining a sense of humor and not taking life too seriously.
Longevity & Sillage
The performance has significantly improved since then.
I remember having to reapply the
Armani Code (2004) Eau de Toilette 1-2 times in the evening because it faded significantly after about 3-4 hours.
The 2024 version, on the other hand, easily lasts 7-8 hours (at least for me)
And the projection is much stronger. It lingers in the air for a long time and radiates just the right amount to not be intrusive.
While I am not familiar with the new eau de toilette and the new perfume, I can well imagine that this scent lives up to the reviews compared to the others.
Conclusion
Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum is a stylish, fresh, warm fragrance that can be worn in any situation - whether it's daily work in the office, dates, special occasions, or simply in leisure time.
It works well on both warm and cold days, but I wouldn't recommend it on very hot days.
For me, Armani Code is not just a scent DNA but a memory of a time when life seemed endless and carefree. Perhaps that is the most beautiful thing about perfumes - they not only emit aromas but also emotions and memories.

Time-Traveling Monk into Modernity?
How beautiful you are is proven to me by your dark, yet simultaneously very fresh green accords. What you present to me is shown by no one else, and I find you so fascinating that I would love to have you around me every second of the day.
About the scent:
As the title suggests, this fragrance creation immediately makes me think of a very wise monk who has traveled through time and found his way into the modern era.
The portal opened in an old church ruin on the earthy ground of a sunlit forest clearing, taken over by the green of various plants, and among all the plants, the mint has secured the most space on the ruins. The man is calm, composed, and eloquent. He enthusiastically tells me that he knows this church from his time and had performed many services here.
This perfume starts with strong incense, paired with mint and slightly earthy patchouli, which makes it smoky dark but simultaneously allows it to shine fresh.
After about 5-10 minutes, it becomes a bit spicier, thanks to the cardamom and pink pepper.
Then I notice how it becomes softer and softer. Sweeter. However, it does not lose the aforementioned developments and they remain beautifully rounded and perceptible.
About the longevity:
As surely as the monk speaks of his passion, the scent clings to skin and clothing.
I can still perceive it clearly in my own nose after 12 hours, not to mention my clothing... guaranteed until the next wash.
About the sillage:
It radiates well! Not brutally overpowering, but still substantial and not intrusive.
It’s quite noticeable when passing by, but not overwhelming. It also diminishes over time and after 7-8 hours becomes more intimate, but lasts forever.
Conclusion: A wonderful scent experience that I haven't had before. Fresh, earthy, smoky, dark, and warm are the words that, in my opinion, perfectly describe this fragrance.
In the height of summer, it might be too potent, but perfect for spring, autumn, and especially on rainy days. It was a great pleasure for me to test it and to give you insights and ideas about what it can do and how it can do it.
Enjoy testing it.

European, floral, classy
I first came across the house of Amouage in connection with Interlude, which hit me like a hammer in the face, definitely not my style.
I was a bit biased and somewhat put off by Amouage.
Until I (quite literally) caught wind of this treasure here!
While in downtown Hamburg, I was enveloped by a cloud, a cloud that smelled like how I imagine scents in my wildest dreams. And to my luck, I caught the gentleman wearing it and learned about REFLECTION MAN.
"What? Don't they usually make oriental fragrances?"
I fell so in love with this scent that I first rummaged through Parfumo and read everything related to this fragrance, of course, I immediately ordered a sample and now for the test.
About the scent: Amazing… simply amazing how this perfume envelops me like a soft veil and just makes me feel good.
In the top notes, I can clearly feel the pepper, which brings a nice pleasant spiciness paired with rosemary, a great combo.
Neroli and especially jasmine are now dancing along, and what can I say, for me it’s just a perfect interplay of all the notes.
About the H/S: for me, a very solid performance, I am definitely satisfied. I think it doesn’t need to be beastly and doesn’t have to shine brutally. It rather benefits from appearing slightly in the background, yet somehow still being present. On my skin, it is perceptible for about 7-8 hours and becomes more intimate with each hour.
On my clothing, however, it can still be smelled until the next wash.
Conclusion: A fantastic scent that I can warmly recommend to anyone who likes bright fragrances and doesn’t want to fill the entire room, but still enjoys being complimented on their scent. I see this fragrance (for whatever reason) on rather introverted men who nonetheless have a confident presence. They tend to act more in the background but are never averse to interesting conversations. A clear recommendation to buy, although a bit pricey… but that’s niche!
