What is happening here? or Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, the EdP
The first twilight of the gods around Armani Code I missed back then as a perfume-savvy person, but with "only" 4-6 bottles that I bought in retail, which stayed with me for several years. The bottles probably didn't appeal to me, and I didn't know a community for perfumes. (Did it even exist?) So the hype passed me by.

In this respect, I don't know how the following fragrances smell:
Armani Code (2004) Eau de Toilette
Armani Code (2021) Eau de Parfum
Armani Code Profumo

etc.

But a few months ago, I randomly received a manufacturer sample of Armani Code (2023) Eau de Toilette and was thrilled. Fruity/fresh start, wonderful drydown, very good price. Therefore, I bought a bottle and wrote a review. I found it more exciting than Armani Code Parfum. Time and again, I sprayed it as a feel-good scent at home after showering when the weather was a bit gray and gloomy.

Now, Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum has just been released, and I am testing it for the third time. And I must say: What is happening here?
This beginning is so wonderful. I was excited during the first testing, and nothing has changed. Succulent, softly sweet and spicy - but definitely unique!
In the drydown, the scent reminds me a lot of "Bois d'Argent | Dior", although the expensive Dior initially smelled unpleasant to me, like slightly spoiled oranges.
In the drydown, the similarity is striking for me.
But only after about 2 hours.
For the first two hours, something radiates from my arm that I don't know. It's quite possible that connoisseurs of the first Code series can precisely identify the scent. It is possible that one of the old codes has been revived here.

Armani only lists three scent notes here. I can wonderfully detect all three. There are probably more scent notes that I can't find communicated anywhere.

For me, it is clear: I want to have the bottle and look forward to days in summer that are not so warm. It is 25 degrees today. The weather is already looking grim. It is supposed to rain again. I sit on the windy balcony and smell a delight that is unparalleled.

In the first tests, I could clearly perceive the scent for a good 6-7 hours. The sillage is fine, and the bottle is great. Even though the EdP is initially a bit more expensive than the EdT, the price is completely reasonable for the quality offered here.

Thank you, Armani!

Hype, the second?
Definitely test this scent, dear Parfumos.

Edit after a few months: I had to let the EdP go, as it became heavier and heavier on my skin. There are scents that are wonderful, but I can't smell them on me for 6-7 hours. In the end, I only sprayed it at home. Today I tested the Armani Code Parfum. It is fresher and lighter, making it more suitable for everyday use for me. Yet it still has the beautiful warmth of the DNA.

Good Replacement for the Discontinued Code Profumo
The marketing for Armani fragrances is partly really strange. Popular scents that have earned their name in the perfume community are taken off the market only to be released again under similar names. I don't understand the point. Just to present something "new"? This is the case with the Code line, but of course also with Acqua di Gio. One doesn't have to understand it. Those who haven't built up a stock of Armani Code Profumo or Armani Code Absolu pour Homme will find an adequate alternative here. As a big fan of the Code line, I now have all 3 fragrances. Those who prefer a small collection really only "need" one of the 3. The Codes are similar and more or less repeat themselves.

What is confusing is the design: All 3 (Armani Code Parfum, Armani Code (2023) Eau de Toilette and this EdP) have the same design and color. They did a better job of this in the past. I also like the other two releases, which go in a slightly fresher direction. Anyone missing Code Profumo will find this EdP to be just right.
With this release from L'Oreal, you get a rather plain box as usual. The bottle is quite pretty and, in my opinion, looks much nicer in person than in pictures. The lovely round shape feels great in the hand, and this bottle is also refillable, which is of course more sustainable and also cheaper.

Price-wise, this fragrance is acceptable: Not a real bargain, but you can get 125ml for under €100. The refillable replacement is 150ml, which is significantly cheaper in terms of price per ml.
In terms of scent, you don't get a 1:1 replica of Code Profumo, but it is extremely similar. The opening is not as heavy as that of Profumo. The DNA captures the original extremely well. What is worth mentioning positively: The scent is much easier to wear, even in everyday life. Profumo was, for me, a pure outdoor scent that is really loud and heavy. This new release is somewhat toned down and feels well-balanced with great spice and that typical Tonka sweetness. Of course, this pyramid is not complete with the 3 notes of mandarin, nutmeg, and tonka bean, although these 3 notes do play a significant role in this fragrance. Particularly prominent is the nutmeg-tonka combo, which was also very active in Profumo. However, this scent also has slight vibes from Armani Code Absolu pour Homme and the old Armani Code (2021) Eau de Parfum. Fresher notes are especially present at the opening. A slightly juicy mandarin and fresh wood quickly give way to the creamy and powdery notes of tonka. By hour 2, it is almost a pure tonka-nutmeg scent, which is a perfect mix of creamy-powdery and sweet-spicy. Overall, it is very easy to like and not niche or special in any way. More of a crowd-pleaser, which, due to this strong tonka note, is naturally more for fans of extremely sweet fragrances. Women could also wear this scent, as this tonka-nutmeg blend is hard to assign to a specific gender.
Performance is, like almost all heavier Codes, damn good. The sillage at the opening is easier to use than, for example, its relative Code Profumo, yet the sillage is considerable and you are clearly noticed. The later part of tonka-nutmeg is perfectly dosed and theoretically also wearable in winter's everyday life. Longevity is wonderful at a minimum of 10 hours.

Overall, more of a comparison than a review. You don't get anything that blows you away since you already know this DNA. As far as mainstream goes, the Code line is still one of the better ones for me, as you can feel comfortable with this pleasant tonka sweetness. Anyone looking for a cozy sweet-spicy fragrance will not be disappointed here.

Love at First Sniff
Hello everyone,
everyone has to start somewhere, and so do I with my first review, so please forgive me if it’s not perfect.

The first real perfume I received as a gift was the Armani Code perfume, and I was already thrilled. When I heard that a new Eau de Parfum would be released, it was clear to me that I had to test it. Luckily, it’s quite easy in Berlin, so I went straight to Douglas right after the release.

The first spray completely blew me away. I absolutely did not expect this sweetness and spiciness combined, and you could still sense the DNA of the perfume. In the drydown, it becomes sweet, elegant, and perfectly balanced. Just as you would expect from Armani.
When you’re already at Douglas, you naturally want to test various other perfumes driven by curiosity. After trying several other scents, I went back to my better half to get her opinion. Without saying which was which, she was also absolutely thrilled by the fragrance, and two weeks later, the perfume arrived as a gift without my knowledge.
Since then, it has been my favorite scent for special occasions, and it’s also a top recommendation for a summer evening.

Thank you to everyone who read my first review all the way to the end!

Classic with Weaknesses
Armani Code is a classic for me, one that I have liked for several years.

The new release immediately caught my attention. It starts off sweet, fruity, with a pleasant spiciness. Additionally, it has a slightly powdery quality, which I really like. It remains this way for the next hour. Unfortunately, it becomes quite linear, and after about 2 hours, I only pick up tonka bean and a bit of leather.

The scent itself is not the weakness, but rather the performance and sillage, which unfortunately only score mediocre. I can smell it on my skin for about 4 - 5 hours. Sillage is good in the first hour, but hardly present afterwards.

If Armani had improved this, it would have been the release of the year for me.

My girlfriend loves it nonetheless, and if you find a good deal, you can buy it without hesitation. For going out or evening events, it works too much in the background for me. I find this very unfortunate because the DNA is very appealing and fits perfectly with a black suit.

I hope I was able to give you a little impression. (This is my first review).

Best regards

An Unforgettable Youth
There are many fragrance creations in this world, from masterpieces to repulsive, grotesque brews.
And then there are those that manage to flatter our hearts and evoke something that makes you never forget the past time spent with these scents.
For me, that is the Armani Code line.

About the Fragrance

I still vividly remember my first vacation without my parents - Lloret de Mar 2012. A clique, summer, freedom, and endless nights where we enjoyed life to the fullest. Back then, I wore the classic Armani Code (2004) Eau de Toilette
A fragrance that not only gave me confidence but also somehow made me feel finally grown up, which can certainly be debated at 18 years old. :)
It was the time of first great adventures, unexpected encounters, and those moments that burn indelibly into memory.

And Today?
When I sprayed the Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum for the first time, it was as if I were right back at that place where my journey with this line began.
The fresh fruity mandarin, the spicy nutmeg, and the sensually sweet-smoky tonka bean strongly remind me of my time in Spain.
While the Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum feels distinctly more embracing and sweeter than the original Code.
However, it exudes the same aura from back then and is perfectly balanced between freshness, spice, and warmth. I think this makes it a perfect companion for warm summer evenings. It can be worn very versatile and, in my opinion, fits into almost any situation.
It radiates maturity and determination,
while still maintaining a sense of humor and not taking life too seriously.

Longevity & Sillage

The performance has significantly improved since then.
I remember having to reapply the Armani Code (2004) Eau de Toilette 1-2 times in the evening because it faded significantly after about 3-4 hours.
The 2024 version, on the other hand, easily lasts 7-8 hours (at least for me)
And the projection is much stronger. It lingers in the air for a long time and radiates just the right amount to not be intrusive.
While I am not familiar with the new eau de toilette and the new perfume, I can well imagine that this scent lives up to the reviews compared to the others.

Conclusion

Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum is a stylish, fresh, warm fragrance that can be worn in any situation - whether it's daily work in the office, dates, special occasions, or simply in leisure time.
It works well on both warm and cold days, but I wouldn't recommend it on very hot days.

For me, Armani Code is not just a scent DNA but a memory of a time when life seemed endless and carefree. Perhaps that is the most beautiful thing about perfumes - they not only emit aromas but also emotions and memories.

The bottle suggests a serious, grown up fragrance. Well, it is not. Instead, you’re greeted with a bubblegum vanilla designer accord.

Is someone else smelling almost photorealistic Dr. Pepper? Or maybe more like Dr. Pepper Vanilla Float? Quite good but maybe a bit sweet.

The never ending rain of heavy artificial mediocrity . Hard to stand this kind of stench ( the whole new line is the same)

Contemporary 1 Million-style perfume, perfect for young adults. Older ones might find it too sweet. Bravo, Armani - that'll be a bestseller!

So powdery, smells like Code Profumo ( I wasn’t a big fan) in the drydown. Performance is better than 23 EDT but I’ll stick with Parfum.

Sweet tonka/vanilla predominantly, not much spice. Pleasant but boring.

Simple. Straightforward. Good for the masses, doesn't offend anyone.
You can't go wrong with this.
