What's happening here? or Glorious, glorious, glorious, the EdP

I had missed the first twilight of the gods around Armani Code back then as a person with an affinity for perfume, but "only" with 4-6 bottles, which I bought in retail stores, whereby the bottles stayed with me for several years. The bottles probably didn't appeal to me, and I didn't know of a perfume community. (Did they even exist?) So the hype passed me by.

In this respect, I don't know what the following fragrances smell like:
Armani Code (2004) Eau de Toilette
Armani Code (2021) Eau de Parfum
Armani Code Profumo

etc.

But a few months ago, I happened to receive a manufacturer's sample of Armani Code (2023) Eau de Toilette and was thrilled. Fruity/fresh start, wonderful drydown, very good price. So I bought a bottle and wrote a review. I found it more exciting than Armani Code Parfum. I sprayed it again and again as a feel-good fragrance at home after a shower when the weather was a bit gray and grumpy.

Now Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum is out and I'm testing it for the third time. And I have to say: What's happening here?
This beginning is so wonderful. I was thrilled when I first tested it, and nothing has changed. Smooth, mutedly sweet and spicy - but definitely unique! In the drydown, the fragrance reminds me a lot of "Bois d'Argent | Dior", whereby the expensive Dior smelled unpleasant to me at the beginning, like oranges that are slightly spoiled.
In the drydown, the similarity is striking for me.
But only after 2 hours.
For the first two hours, something radiates from my arm that I am not familiar with. It is quite possible that connoisseurs of the first Code series will be able to identify the fragrance exactly. It is possible that one of the old codes has been revived here.

Armani probably only specifies three fragrance notes here. I can smell all three wonderfully. There are probably other fragrance notes that I can't find communicated anywhere.

One thing is certain for me: I want to have the bottle and then look forward to days in summer that are not so warm. It's 25 degrees today. But the weather is already looking gray. It's supposed to rain again. I sit on the windy balcony and smell a splendor that is second to none.

During the first tests, I could clearly perceive the fragrance for a good 6-7 hours. The sillage is fine, as is the bottle. Even if the EdP is a little more expensive than the EdT, the price is completely fine for the quality that is available here

Love at first sniff

Hello everyone,
everyone has to start somehow and so do I with my first review so forgive me if it's not perfect.

My first real perfume that I received as a gift was the Armani Code perfume and I was thrilled. When I heard that there was going to be a new eau de parfum, I knew I had to try it. Fortunately, it's quite easy in Berlin, so I went to Douglas straight after the release
The first spray completely blew me away. I hadn't expected such a combination of sweetness and spice and I could still sense the perfume's DNA. In the drydown, it becomes sweet, elegant and perfectly balanced. Just as you would expect from Armani.
If you're already in Douglas anyway, you naturally test various other perfumes driven by interest. After various other fragrances, I went back to my better half to get her opinion. Without saying which one was which, she was also very enthusiastic about the fragrance and 2 weeks later, without my knowledge, the perfume arrived as a gift Since then it has been my favorite fragrance for special occasions and is also a top recommendation for a summer evening.

Classic with weaknesses

Armani Code is a classic for me, which I have loved for several years.

The new release immediately caught my attention. The scent starts off sweet and fruity, with a pleasant spiciness. It's also slightly powdery, which I really like. It stays like this for the next hour. Unfortunately, it becomes quite linear and after about 2 hours I only notice tonka bean and some leather.

The fragrance itself is not the weakness but the perfomance and sillage which unfortunately only score mediocre. I smell it on my skin for about 4 - 5 hours. Sillage is good in the first hour, then barely there.

If Armani had gone one better, it would have been the release of the year for me.

My girlfriend loves it anyway and if you get a good offer, you can buy it without hesitation. For going out or for an evening event, it's too much in the background for me. Which I think is a shame, because the DNA is very well received and goes perfectly with a black suit.

I hope I was able to give you a little impression. (This is my first review).

Admittedly, not particularly creative, but the code 1234 usually works quite well to secure combination locks and, together with 0000, enjoys great popularity. What does this theme have to do with Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum? Well, the fragrance is not particularly creative either, but it works just as well as 1234 and is apparently very popular.

Initially, the fragrance seems surprisingly creamy to me, although green mandarin adorns the top note. Pleasant and unobtrusive, unspectacular but does its job quite well. After that, the fragrance develops in a very boring way. Nutmeg and tonka bean shake hands and create a finish that you have already experienced in countless other designer fragrances.

The performance is surprisingly good. I was able to perceive myself for about six hours with four sprays on my neck. As far as performance is concerned, the numerical code seems to be more reliable.

I find the bottle very boring and this reflects the lack of creativity in the fragrance as a whole.

In terms of price, you can get the fragrance with 75ml for just under 100 euros. That's fine, no more, no less.

With a rating of 8.3, I thought that a designer scent could really knock my socks off. It's a mystery to me how the fragrance has received such praise, but at least the performance convinced me. Even if my enthusiasm is limited, I can at least confirm that Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum is better than Armani Code Parfum.

An unforgettable youth

There are many fragrance creations in this world, from masterpieces to repulsive, grotesque concoctions.
And then there are those that manage to ingratiate themselves into our hearts and trigger something there that never lets you forget the time you spent with these fragrances.
That's the Armani Code range for me.

About the fragrance

I still remember my first vacation without my parents - Lloret de Mar 2012. A clique, summer, freedom and endless nights in which we enjoyed life to the full. Back then, I was wearing the classic Armani Code (2004) Eau de Toilette
A fragrance that not only gave me self-confidence, but also somehow the feeling of finally being an adult, which of course is debatable at the age of 18. :)
It was a time of first great adventures, unexpected encounters and those moments that are indelibly etched in my memory.

And today?
When I sprayed Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum for the first time, it was as if I was right back in the place where my journey with this series had begun.
The fresh fruity mandarin, the spicy nutmeg and the sensual sweet-smoky tonka bean remind me very much of my time in Spain.
Whereby the Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum is clearly more embracing and sweeter than the former Code.
However, it exudes the same aura from back then and is perfectly balanced between freshness, spice and warmth. In my opinion, this makes it the perfect companion for warm summer evenings. However, it can be worn very versatile and, in my opinion, fits in pretty much every situation.
It exudes maturity and determination,
but still keeps a sense of humor and doesn't take life too seriously.

Longevity & sillage

The performance has increased significantly.
I remember that I had to spray the Armani Code (2004) Eau de Toilette 1-2 times in the evening because it wore off after about 3-4 hours.
The 2024 version, on the other hand, easily lasts 7-8 hours (at least for me)
And the projection is much stronger. It hangs in the air for a long time and radiates just right so as not to be obtrusive.
I don't know the new eau de toilette and the new perfume, but I can well imagine that this fragrance lives up to the ratings compared to the others.

Conclusion

Armani Code (2024) Eau de Parfum is a stylish, fresh, warm fragrance that you can wear in any situation, whether it's workdays in the office, dates, special occasions or simply in your free time.
It goes very well on both warm and cold days, but would not recommend it on very hot days.

For me, Armani Code is not just a fragrance DNA but a memory of a time when life seemed endless and carefree. Perhaps that is the most beautiful thing about perfumes - they not only exude aromas, but also emotions and memories.
