THE Summer All-Rounder
Since I have recently become quite fond of several fragrances from the house of PdM, which were all rather heavy and wintery/autumnal, I had to try out a few freshies like Greenley and Sedley. I sprayed the Greenley on the left and the Sedley on the right forearm, and yes... initially both were fine, although the Greenley developed in a direction that I no longer liked. The Sedley, on the other hand... amazing. Fresh, minty with the necessary dose of citrus... almost sparkling, effervescent... As time goes on, it becomes increasingly shower gel-like, which I find extremely pleasant in this case... just a high-quality shower gel. In the end, the Sedley is almost a bit too simple for its price, but you can definitely smell the quality. The longevity and sillage are fine, just a freshie... Overall, a great high-quality scent that absolutely fits the upcoming spring and summer season. With a nice shirt, even if it can be more elegant, but just as wearable in leisure and everyday life. I'm not a fan of fragrances in the gym, but this one would even fit there well... simply a perfect all-rounder in the most beautiful time of the year!

Walk Along the Coast Down Under
I’m not really a big fan of aquatic scents, but Pacific Rock Moss has captivated me so much lately that after initially only having a small sample, I had to get the full bottle.
The fragrance starts off citrusy-fresh.. a really beautiful, refreshing lemon rises to the nose, but right from the start, it is enveloped by a certain aquatic note. This citrus opening fades away quite quickly, but the pleasant aquatic freshness remains, and gradually green undertones join in, giving the whole composition a subtle depth.
I find the longevity and sillage to be rated too poorly here. It’s not a beast - but which summer fragrance is? For such a fresh scent composition, it lasts surprisingly well and is perfect for everyday summer wear!
Goldfield & Banks have created a truly wonderful fragrance with Rock Moss that transports its wearer to the other side of the world with its maritime aura. All of this at a more than fair price.
I’m thrilled!

No Brainer
I stumbled upon this fragrance by chance (at that time, I was not familiar with either Virgin Island Water or "Malibù - Party In The Bay | Simone Andreoli")
At first, I was skeptical, 18€ on Amazon? Is it worth it? The scent notes sounded interesting, even though I'm not a coconut fan.. but since it's extremely cheap, I got a sample and what can I say.. with the first spray, it grabbed me immediately. A really great lime.. not a citrus cleaner lemon, but a truly green, juicy lime that hits you right in the nose.. accompanied immediately by a soft, not too sweet coconut note.. I had the most concerns about the coconut content in the fragrance putting me off, but it adds a wonderful, creamy component to the scent.
I don't detect rum and cane sugar, but it creates a harmonious overall picture.
Now, I should mention a comparison to "Malibù - Party In The Bay | Simone Andreoli," as I tested this one in parallel and eventually bought it as well.
Endless Summer captures its inspiration extremely well.. I'm not usually a fan of percentage similarity claims.. but we're looking at about 90% here.
And that for a fraction of the price. Incredible..
Certainly, you can tell that the Malibu has a bit more quality, also in terms of longevity, it's a different ballpark compared to Endless Summer..
In the end, I chose Malibu for reasons of longevity (and because I'm a brand snob).
But anyone looking for a cheap, good alternative or wanting to try this scent direction can buy it without hesitation.
Clear recommendation for summer! For a small price, you get a super fresh summer fragrance that imitates the well-known inspirations very well.

Small "wow", big "but"
The One for Men Eau de Parfum captivated me from the very beginning.. an extremely fresh, shower gel-like yet warm, seductive scent.
The zesty grapefruit in the opening, paired with the subtle tobacco (which is really only perceived lightly), D&G has truly succeeded in creating one of the most beautiful designer fragrances.. if it weren't for the H/S issue.. often mentioned and yet always worth mentioning.
That this fragrance is not a monster, and that it shouldn't be, is beyond question.. it is often referred to as a "date scent," for the more intimate moment.. a fragrance that gently hugs the wearer and can only be smelled up close. When viewed in this light and for this purpose, it's perfectly fine.. it doesn't need a brutal sillage, but the longevity is really subpar. After what feels like an hour, the pleasure is already over.. therefore, I usually only wear it when I’m just going shopping or lounging on the couch on Sundays.
A fragrance that has its place in my collection, and I really enjoy taking it out of the cabinet to smell it or spray it on my wrist. Unfortunately, in everyday life, it’s never my first choice due to its longevity.
It's a shame because the DNA is truly wonderful.

Cinnamon Powerhouse with Wow Effect
Some time ago, I was able to test "Angels' Share | Kilian" at my trusted perfumery and was blown away.. I thought it was THE Christmas scent par excellence.
I ordered a decant and looked forward to the Advent season. More and more, I kept reading and hearing the name "Oajan"..
Since I love Herod and count it among my favorite fragrances, and I also found Layton quite good, I was almost sure that PdM would hit my taste this time as well (although Althaïr didn't resonate with me at all last time, despite my love for gourmand scents)
So I directly got a decant for testing.
When it arrived, I sprayed it on and yes, okay.. it was already quite good but I didn't initially get that Wow effect.. Cinnamon, loads of cinnamon.. Honey? No, just cinnamon.. I like cinnamon, but I actually expected a bit more..
Well, 1-2 weeks later, I wore the scent outside in the wild, it was early December, with relatively a lot of snow for a change, the Christmas market had opened, and a wintry day in the fresh air was ahead.. I was already excitedly considering what to wear today.. Kilian or Oajan
I had to try Oajan and that was the day I fell in love..
It completely blew me away throughout the day.. from this bone-dry cinnamon bomb, it transformed into a seductively warm winter fragrance just as I had wished.
Cinnamon is still the most prominent note, but the more I smell it now, the more facets I discover.. Honey and vanilla, a pleasant sweetness that somehow also resembles the baked apple from Angels' Share, but is still different.
There could also be slightly cherry-like hints. Overall, a beautiful fragrance that unfolds its full potential when it's cold and festive.
I find the longevity and sillage to be decent.. definitely detectable on clothing for 1-2 days, on my skin a good 6-8 hours.. not a beast that fills rooms, but it shouldn't be that at all.
Sorry Kilian, Oajan has now captured my heart as my favorite winter scent and I hope it will soon find a place in my collection.
