Puderkind

Florabotanica is an incredibly special and versatile rose fragrance that has surprised me greatly. After extensive testing, I managed to snag a bottle from the lovely Saemm in the souk, and it has not disappointed me! Visually, this piece is almost like art à la Piet Mondrian (if only there were some yellow...) but that's just my perception. It is definitely an eye-catcher :D

Regarding the scent: The green notes are very prominent at first, and the mint makes it a refreshing fragrance that is particularly pleasant in summer. After a short while, a strong, green, and slightly soapy rose joins in, which I absolutely adore about this scent. It is really well done, as this note becomes increasingly powdery-cool and remains that way for a long time in the drydown. So, this is already a fantastic scent progression, and no matter which stage, the fragrance is always pleasant and elegant for me!

The longevity is definitely very good, as I can smell the fragrance quite distinctly for up to nine hours, and it remains present on clothing and hair even after that. I think the sillage must also be quite decent, but it is certainly not intrusive or annoying. With its green yet powdery-noble note, it is a very clear, down-to-earth, yet feminine scent that surely won't disturb anyone. Whether for work, leisure, or evening meetings, the fragrance really fits every occasion =) and it's great to have a scent that suits the warm season so well.

I am totally convinced and can recommend it to those looking for a universally applicable rose fragrance with a certain something and surprising complexity!

I just have to write a comment about this perfume, even though I know it has unfortunately been discontinued since around 2016. I was incredibly sad about it, as ''Love, Chloé'' is my absolute favorite perfume. It is the reason I signed up on this wonderful site to search for new treasures! It perfectly matched my taste back in my teenage years, and to this day, I love this scent. No other perfume has ever achieved that for me... Sigh...
Well then, how does one describe such a wonderful, warm, and cuddly scent?

First of all, I believe the following: it is not necessarily a crowd-pleaser, and that is probably why it was discontinued. ''Love, Chloé'' could also be a scent from the 80s with incredible longevity and sillage. Nevertheless, it is beautiful with its violet flowers blended with powder and expensive cream into an infinitely lovely mixture with wonderful musk in the drydown.

Development, longevity & sillage: I don't really notice much of the orange blossom and pepper, but it is incredibly intense & powdery at first. The flowers create an unbelievably beautiful melange with the powder, which maintains an incredible intensity & sillage from start to finish, making me want to just inhale this scent, although I sometimes feel a bit sorry for the people around me when I am in closed spaces. The scent lasts 24 hours on the skin and several days on clothing, and the drydown is simply feminine, powdery, and elegant. I now use it very sparingly and only for special occasions.

My associations:
- a woman standing in front of a Monet at the Musée d'Orsay, thoughtfully contemplating the painting
- the powder as a fragrant beauty ideal of a woman
- the color beige
- a sea of violet flowers, a gentle breeze blowing
- elegance, timelessness, and classicism

If any of you lovely girls or boys know a similar scent with comparable powderiness and warm floral beauty, please let me know. My last bottle won't last forever :D

Valentino Donna Rosa Verde and I - a difficult story. I really wanted to like and wear it!

First of all, about the fragrance pyramid: I find the components incredibly exciting. Green roses, you rarely smell that, and the combination with mate and ginger - sounds super fresh and great for summer.
I pondered for ages whether I should get the fragrance, and I actually wanted to avoid a blind purchase. Due to the limited situation because of Corona, it was a bit difficult to test in the perfumery, and then I decided to order it blind after all. Said and done. I was very taken with the bottle and the color of the perfume - it just looks elegant.
The scent: After the purchase, I tested it immediately - and found it very green and fresh at first - which I expected. You can clearly perceive the bergamot, the ginger comes in lightly and provides a nice sharpness. After a few minutes, it becomes slightly soapy-rosy, but not too much. That’s the green rose, which I still find excellently captured in this fragrance (I’m a rose fan anyway and this is something new). I don’t explicitly smell the mate tea, but overall it fits well together, if it weren’t for one thing: the bergamot!!!
The worst part is that my husband smelled it and finds it so bad that he said the scent smells like cheap liquid soap and cleaning products with lemon. It should be noted that he is not the biggest perfume fan, but he has never said anything like that about any of my perfumes or samples. And in principle, I would actually wear it anyway, but after he mentioned that, I also find that the scent has something of very cheap soap from some public restrooms, and I’m sure that’s that intense bergamot note...
It’s really a shame about the fragrance because the pyramid has a system, it’s an interesting combination, very green, very fresh, great bottle, more than acceptable price... but the bergamot just bothers me... It does reduce over time, but I can never get rid of it completely, as the scent doesn’t last particularly long either.
Sillage is moderately present for about 4 hours, after that it’s close to the skin and it doesn’t last through an 8-hour workday for me. It doesn’t have to theoretically, it’s a green, light fragrance.
Before you want to buy the fragrance, don’t make the same mistake I did, please test it :D
If you like bergamot, it could be a nice light (!) freshie for the next garden party with iced mate-bergamot iced tea and white-green roses on your garden table.

As hinted in the title, I wore Eve in my youth. My mum always had an impressive perfume collection, and I was allowed to try some or sniff them on her. She also loved Sun by Jil Sander and eventually passed Eve on to me, as she didn't find it that great - that's how I got this fragrance.
I find the bottle very beautiful in its subtle simplicity and also a bit elegant due to the coral color.
My perception of the scent: For me, Eve also starts fruity, but not overly sweet fruity; rather, the grapefruit blossom creates a woody fresh note - truly a pleasant beginning.
The floral notes in the heart caress the wearer elegantly until the slightly woody and very warm vibe of cashmere wood and patchouli joins in the base.
All in all, I find the scent warm, pure, and elegant. If I had to categorize it, I would say it represents a late summer evening walk with the beautifully golden light of the setting sun.
I personally believe that it suits all age groups and certainly some men as well (if they like it, of course). Karoline Herfurth is a great choice as a spokesperson - clear, straightforward, beautiful!
The longevity and sillage are both decent, and I managed to get through the entire school day with just a few sprays.
My conclusion: It could definitely be a lovely signature or everyday scent; I fondly remember it. At the moment, I don't plan to buy it again, but one should never say never ;)

Actually, I wanted to test White Musk (the EdP) at the Body Shop and came just for that. I’ve heard so many good things, but at that moment, I didn’t like it on me very much. Then I tested the others and found the scent of Black Musk really beautiful, even after wearing it for half an hour.
The fragrance initially smells sweet-peppery, and the musk is present from the start. I can't explicitly pick out the other components except for a bit of patchouli, but it all fits well together. It’s true that the scent leans a bit towards Loverdose.
The longevity is not overly good, but it is primarily an Eau de Toilette, so that’s okay (about 4 hours on me).
I believe the sillage is really relatively low, so it’s more intimate with 2-3 sprays.
The bottle is quite simple and black with a violet label, which fits well with the sensual scent notes. However, it’s always annoying not to see the fill level.
After testing it several times at home, I wouldn’t necessarily buy the Eau de Toilette again. I think there are better and longer-lasting scents in this direction, but the fragrance is quite good.
For teenagers and generally Musk/Body Shop fans, it’s probably quite acceptable, and I can also imagine it on a young lady who doesn’t want to smell too heavily perfumed.

*ADDITIONAL NOTE* after testing it again in this slightly autumnal phase, I find it quite good in terms of longevity!!! As an everyday scent, it’s perfect, especially on clothing and hair! I really like it now! You see - sometimes the perception of a fragrance changes after some time, so never give up right away =)
