Timbukto | Timeless scent
Timbuktu is magical. It’s woody, dark and mysterious. I was lucky to get hold of the older formulation. I also love this bottle more than the current/ darker one. However, it’s just personal taste.

Coming back to Timbuktu, the note of mango gives it a zing/ sharpness and notes of vetiver, incense, and papyrus give it a masculine tone. The scent is well rounded, sophisticated and warm. Incense/ Myrhh are definitely the stars of the show and I love it.

If I had to compare it with another fragrance, to my nose it smells like a lighter version of Encre Noire with an oriental flair! Also, the vetiver also reminds me of Terre d’Hermes but only a little.

Timbuktu is timeless and evergreen. I can’t wait to hear it when it gets cooler. If you didn’t get a chance to smell this, I would highly recommend you to look into this one!

Smoke | Powerhouse form Akro Fragrances
Basically it smells exactly how its named. If you love incense resinous scents, Smoke is great for you. ⁣

It’s a rich and opulent tobacco and benzoin bomb that laches onto your skin. It would make you smell like if you spent a night in a really sophisticated jazz bar where people were smoking some high quality cigars. ⁣

The smoke in this scent is very raw and ashy (in a good way) and its reminiscent of a campfire smoke which when mixed by tonka bean really makes the scent wearable and cozy ????⁣

Smoke is a powerhouse. Its the note of Smoke beautifully blended with tobacco, cade oil & the sweetness of Tonka. ⁣
If you are into smokey/ incense scents, this won't disappoint you!

Haze | Another Powerhouse from the house!
Haze is as green as a fragrance can be. Akro fragrances are based on six different addictions and Haze is based on the addiction of Weed!

Imagine taking eucalyptus & mint leaves, crushing it with a little absinthe. Haze is smooth, earthy, bitter, refreshing and up-lifting. It definitely reminds me of my trip to Amsterdam ;)

Even though it's Fall, if you are looking for a fresh green scent that will get you smelling different, Haze can be for you!

Quetzaly | Surprisingly Unique
I have been wearing Quetzaly for quiet few days now I can tell you that this scent is a winner to me.

Coming back to how “Quetzaly” smells? It’s smells different with it’s character of its own. It was love at first spray for me. Here is why: ⁣

Top notes listed in the fragrance are Lime, Avocado & Chilli pepper. How unique is that. It definitely has this creamy almost spicy opening (First, I thought it was cardamom but it’s basically chilli mixed with Avocado smell) very nice and comforting. ⁣

The first spray definitely is loud (in a good way). The spiciness stays for a long time on the skin and with time, the scent definitely get’s darker and even more creamier. ⁣

Quetzaly has incense in the middle that gives scent it’s character along with Dhalia (which I haven’t smelled before in perfumes but apparently its a plant from Mexico. In addition, it also contains Copal which is a kind of resin. So the darkness comes from both Incense and copal. ⁣

Dry down is also as beautiful as the top and the mid. It has Cedar, sandalwood and musk in the base. All the three complement the scent so well. ????⁣

???? To summarise, if you are looking for something different (not challenging) that will really have you smelling like no one, I would definitely recommend you sampling Quetzaly once!

Ani | Definitely one of the top Vanilla scents I have tried in 2019!
Ani is heavenly. It’s vanilla done to perfection. I never thought I would love a vanilla scent so much. I always thought one can’t do much with a simple note like vanilla. Everyone grows us smelling it, it’s used in almost every 5th perfume. Until you smell this. ⁣

Ani starts with crisp zingy vanilla mixed with citrus and ginger. It soon transforms into this beautiful bed of sandalwood mixed with some spices like pepper and cardamom. ⁣I do a get a little rose that adds to the complexity of the scent. Its simple yet complex on the skin. ⁣

The dry down is as magical as the initial spray with that benzoin & patchouli mix. ⁣

You would think a vanilla scent can’t last on the skin until you spray Ani. Usually 2 sprays of it on my skin lasts me the whole day without a doubt. Sits beautifully in the skin and fills in the room no matter how big it is. ⁣I don’t know what else can I say about Ani that hasn’t been said already. I have no second thoughts in saying but Ani has to be one of the best releases of 2019 in my eyes. ⁣
