Saraaah

I don't know why I chose this title, but mysterious is the fragrance in any case. But let's start from the beginning.

If someone had told me 3-4 years ago that I would ever spend over € 200 for a perfume, I would probably have laughed out loud ... and ... now I'm sitting here with this wuuuunderschönen red bottle and am completely in love. It wasn't instant love though, quite the opposite. When I first smelled baccarat, it was actually written off right away because this scent didn't appeal to me at all and I couldn't understand the hype at all. HA HA, I thought. Had I stopped testing, I would probably still be of the opinion.

Now back to the mysterious properties. I have NO IDEA how this is possible, but the scent is definitely playing games with me. Sometimes it's almost unpleasantly medicinal (thankfully rare), sometimes it's wonderfully sweet, sometimes it's barely noticeable, sometimes it fills entire rooms and people follow my scent trail. It evolves in ways you just can't imagine. For example, there are also days when I don't spray it on at all but can still smell it quite intensely because some traces probably got stuck on my scarf or jacket at some point days or weeks before.

In other words - the scent is magical. Thank you Mr Kurkdijan. Thank you for this masterpiece ??

After the time of the year comes for me, when I would like to wear this fragrance, I thought that it deserves a comment..

I still remember the moment about 5 years ago, when I happened to smell this perfume in a perfumery, and I couldn't imagine, for the life of me, that you would want to smell like that.

Last year, while Christmas shopping, I smelled my way through all the perfumes in the Replica line, remembered exactly how horrible I found "by the fireplace" in the last test, but gave me a jolt, and tested it again. LUCKY!

By the fireplace starts very, very smoky, as the name suggests. The first minutes it smells almost like the clothes after a day at the campfire. So not everyone's dream smell... I get it. Then slowly this sweetness joins in, which reminds me personally of the smell of burnt almonds. And this mixture of smoke and sweetness is the special one and immediately transports me to a Christmas market where open fire baskets are placed and sweet delicacies are sold.

Durability and sillage are enormous, some days "by the fireplace" is too much of a good thing for me and my bottle probably lasts forever but especially on cold days and when I know I'm outside I love to wear it.

When you start to deal with perfumes more intensively, it doesn't take long before you stumble upon the name Escentric Molecules.

the first in line was Molecule 01 and was found good, so I tried Molecule 02 next.

So I ordered blindly - when the scented mail arrived and I sprayed Molecule 02 on, I smelled: nothing. Really nothing. This could not be true!!!! Of course, I had often read before that it was the case with some people. But I could not believe it. I ran to my mum, rubbed my wrist under her nose. And lo and behold - she smelled it, even from meters away, thought it was great. I made this test with other family members - and almost all of them could perceive Molecule 02, could not describe it other than "fresh". (All no perfume "freaks")

That same evening I sprayed one of my sweaters that was lying around with it, because I read that some people can only see Molecule 02 on clothes. Again nothing.

A little disappointed, I went to bed, and as I lay there, I noticed again and again an indefinable freshness that caressed my nose. I ran to my sweater, smelled nothing. Smell the bottle, the sprayer, nothing. When I got back to bed, the smell was there again. Felt a little teased by Mr. Ambroxan. He definitely sticks insanely well and long on clothes and often I just smell him because there is a jacket of mine in the same room that I had sprayed him on sometime.

... that's how it went the first days, meanwhile I perceive Molecule 02 well, but very close directly on the skin still not really. I can describe Molecule 02 only badly, in any case slightly masculine, clean, woody, dynamic? In any case addictive and an always-on. The hoped-for compliments have not been forthcoming. But at least now I know how he smells and what is not yet, can still be

I admit it, I did it again. You're talking about a blindbuy. After watching a video of my favorite designer showing this perfume and raving about it for minutes. So I started looking for reasons to convince my own conscience that I had to buy the perfume. great reviews on various sites, currently on sale... and then there's this great song of the same name that I love... i digress... I am sorry. So: the scent arrived today, and like every blind buy I'm feverishly waiting all day to finally spray the scent on. And when I did, my expectations were exceeded. Amazing grace smells to me like freshly showered and creamed - in the best way possible (for me)... the scent doesn't necessarily give me a freshness kick, but a totally pleasant feeling... as I mentioned here several times, sillage and durability are not really a bomb at first sight, but that doesn't really bother me... My conclusion: sometimes blindbuys do pay off ;)

Finally the long-awaited bottling was there, and I couldn't wait to spray it on, this Delina, praised to heaven. And what can I say? What can I say? I think everybody knows that, if you read a lot of reviews and reviews, you get a clear idea in your head what the fragrance smells like. And when you can finally sniff it, and the scent doesn't smell nearly as good as expected, the disappointment is big. For now! I smell VERY much rose with Delina, and not a particularly "extraordinary" rose, which I simply did not expect, considering that I read more than once that Deline should smell like the scent of a naked woman. (For example), hmmmm, I don't know such one ;-) But the whole thing is not to say that I don't like Delina, I think it's great and every time I spray it on I think it's great. The durability is bombastic, even after showering you can still see it. Anyway, in the future I will try not to imagine so much at all, but just let myself be surprised
